Ik Onkar
"All the Guru's are one."
Wikiislam.net is notorious for its biased, anti-Islamic half-truths and sometimes outright lies. It rely on minority opinions (such as Wahabi scholars) and inauthentic sources to show Islam in bad light.Does it not also say that Christians will never become Muslims?
And fair enough, this was just what I found recorded to be the mainstream interpretation on WikiIslam.
Is that so? Color me surprised, but ok. I'm not one to insist on monotheism anyway.*whispers* Sikhs aren't actually monotheists, that's why.

FYI, Joseph Smith didn't "make his own religion because he didn't like the Christians and Jews." He was a Christian, and Mormons believe the religion he founded is the re-establishment of the religion originally founded by Jesus Christ but corrupted over time. Since this thread is about Islam, I'll let it go at that.I think the reason behind it is that Muhammad didn't like the Christians and Jews, so he made his own religion, just as the Mormons mad their religion by Joseph Smith, I think his name is.
I certainly don't agree with you, and I didn't say that old Joseph Smith made up his religion because he didn't like the Christians and Jews. please read what I say, and don't jump to conclusions that are not relevant.FYI, Joseph Smith didn't "make his own religion because he didn't like the Christians and Jews." They certainly do, and isn't it tragic ?.Everyone thinks they're on to the "pure" version of religion and all the others are corrupt.

Sorry if I misunderstood you. In re-reading your post, I still can't see any other way to interpret it. But as I said, this thread is about Islam, not Mormonism. I was merely correcting what appeared to me to be a misstatement. Carry on. I won't get in your way any more.I certainly don't agree with you, and I didn't say that old Joseph Smith made up his religion because he didn't like the Christians and Jews. please read what I say, and don't jump to conclusions that are not relevant.
This thread maybe about Islam, but it doesn't mean we can't use other analogies to try to show what we mean, don't be so narrow minded, be more open in a discussion.Sorry if I misunderstood you. Yes this is why I don't hold to any belief systems.Could be because one finds what they want and agree with, or (personally) believing it is the right religion!
It could be difficult to answer this question. Believing is complicated.

Yes, and if I am wrong, then at least its me that is wrong, and not my belief system. That's quite understandable. Humans psychology is complicated and differs from one another.

yes because I don't really know what is right, and there is so much out there that is telling me that I should be this or that, so I just be what I am, or at least I try to be lol. That's rational thinking
