It violates the second commandment God gave to man.
Ah yes,
"You shall not make for yourself a homosexual, or any likeness of a homosexual that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I The Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the homosexuals upon the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who are light in the loafers, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who are heterosexual and keep My Commandments." (Exodus 20:4-6 )

Every time I see this thread title I just want to come in and say "You Can".

(It was inevitable)

Why do you believe that your God actually spoke in human words which we still have in our possession?

And can you recite your God's commandment for me, about homosexuality? I'd like to examine it.
Don't try and confuse the issue with irrelevant questions. The Bible says that the second commandment given to man was to be fruitful and multiply.

You are confused.

Whoops, I had a brain fart, it was the first commandment given to man.

Ah! "Be fruitful and multiply!" That one.

Yeah, that's already long fulfilled. In fact, it's so fulfilled, that there's far too many of us now. Homosexuality is actually a good thing these days, since it means there won't be such dangerous population levels.

Seven billion humans on Earth... I think we've more than fulfilled that commandment. Not to mention totally trashed the planet in the process.

Even at the inflated number of 10% of the population being homosexual, seven hundred million homosexuals are not going to cause the extinction of the human race. Besides, we can and do make babies.

To replinsh the earth.

So does that mean it would be a sin to be sterile?

If we're to be consistent then we should forbid sterile people to be in relationships too because they won't be fruitful and multiply either.

What about those men who have been called by God to remain single and never be married. They will be violating God's 1st rule too!

Wow, why even go there.

God, it seems, instituted male and female in order to populate the species. In spite of what another pointed out about still having children it did not come from homosexual relations. Now, that man wishes to do as they please outside of God's commandments is fairly obvious. There are allowances for that.
