Why do christianity get so much hate?

I realize that, but I took it a step further. Nevertheless, there was nothing "accidental" about the initial onslaught, was there?
Nor about Hezbollah firing thousands of rockets, for years, into Israel civilian areas. Nor accidental that Hamas and Hezbollah build their command centres under hospitals

To clarify, whether a government is good or bad or inbetween, if you go against their laws or ideals there is a good chance that they will persecute you.
People can be cruel, often horribly so. And many governments are based on religious tenets, one way or another. So it's going to be an interesting outcome, I believe.

Not that your God is a monotheist :tearsofjoy:

But the monotheistic concept of God. Maybe its better that I say I do not believe in the God of Abraham.
before I knew God, I finally had to pray to know Him. And He answered me, but it took time...however, in my mind His holy spirit (invisible active force) is undeniable.

Even the religiously based governments are hijacking faiths and twisting the interpretations to suite their agenda. Power and money corrupt them too much. And the populace is often indoctrinated thrpugh propaganda to have their values aligned with that government. Sad really.

I am glad you found what works for you and trust what you believe. :) The same is happening to me. It will bring us peace if we know what we genuinely believe deep down and not follow what others dictate we should believe. I am glad you are trusting your experiences.

God will ensure peace.. Not mankind. Revelation 21:1-5 helps to explain this. I used to go to church but never really saw that scripture until later.

Why do christianity get so much hate? It is really frustrating. I am not a christian but I think about christians that get hate just because of the religion they are following. It is so sad
What hate? Can you give examples of what you're referring to?

If you were referring to muslims, then I wouldn't have to ask; I know they get subjected to plenty of hate.

If you believe that and it helps then great.

I prefer to focus on what we can control. I was told to rely on the external God and believe in him which caused inner strife through cognitive dissonance, and the peace or euphoria that occurred was onconsistent.

It caused me depression.

Being true to myself and embracing what I actually was convinced of got rid of that cognitive dissonance and I gradually felt more and more content. Discovering the practice of Qigong and doing martial arts has helped me to actively control my emotions and my inner peace. The result is that now i am waaaaaaaaaay more at peace and functional now than when I was a christian.

I prefer what is practical and experiential.

Perhaps it depends on what you mean by Christianity.

Leaving behind the worldwide sex scandals that rocked the Christian church across two or three decades in recent memory, I'd say there's plenty that might appear wrong or contemptible up the money end of Christianity, and not only in the US.

And while the creo view of the infallible bible may not be harmful to others, only themselves, the JW refusal of blood transfusions to my mind crosses the line which should mark the end of superstition.

But there's no shortage of reasonable, decent, inclusive, helpful people who are Christian believers (the same being true of other faiths and of non-believers) and in my view the world is the better for all such people.

On the other hand, although my early days were spent as a Pisco, looking both back and around, I think there are many things to dislike about the Christian religion itself (as distinct from its members), and I set out a list of them here >Your Complaints About Christianity?<.

I appreciate your desire and effort to control yourself. That is wonderful and is actually I believe a godly quality. Galatians 5 says, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."
So self-control is part of the fruit of God's spirit.

Auto accidents are exactly that - accidents. There’s nothing accidental about what Israel is doing in Gaza and Lebanon.
In the case of Gaza and Lebanon, Israel is NOT targeting civilians, much less children. These people are dying due to the Hamas policy of embedding among civilians, WHICH IS A WAR CRIME. Please stick the blame where it belongs.

If I had to establish a jewish state, I would have started by making good ties with the people alrwady living there.
Besides the Jews living there, there were also Arabs. The early Zionists got along fine with them. There was a lot of mutual cooperation.

There was no problem until someone suggested forming a Jewish nation. THAT is when Arabs got all up in arms. It was fine with them for Palestine to be occupied, so long as it was occupied by a Muslim empire or state, even one that abused them, as when the area was controlled by Transjordan. The problem was the suggestion that Jews be in charge. And that springs solely from antisemitism.

That's simple:

It's because of their pompous superiority complex; them being terribly pretentious, always evangelizing and telling others:

"Jesus alone is the only Savior, thereby clearly stating that you and your Religion are worthless, and some even add that you won't be saved and you will go to Hell, unless you accept Jesus as your Savior"

They are verily the Anti Christ themselves

There is more than one reason but I would like to suggest these as the three major one:
1. Christians overwhelm this forum. The greater the population, the more frequent the complaints. I mean, you never have anyone in here complaining about Shintoists, largely because there are no Shintoists here.
2. Many of the people who attack Christianity are those who were raised Christian and have bad memories. And again, just the fact that there are more Christians means there are more ex-Christians than, say, ex-Muslims.
3. People tend to get turned off by Christianity's exclusivism.

Not true

IF all Christians were humane, say humanists, there would be no hate at all

IF you are good THEN others won't hate you, except those who feel superior

There is only one reason for hate towards Christians, and that is their Superiority Complex. Just look it up "why was Hitler, known for his German Supremacy belief, hated so much" ... Hitler felt superior and Jews were inferior to him and his followers

Unless Christians END their Christian Supremacy
they will be hated, and destroy themselves in the process, just like Hitler was destroyed

Christian Supremacy is the poison in the world

Watch this 60sec clip, then you know "why"

Hindu perfectly exposes Christianity exhibiting Christian Supremacy the moment when they claim that other Religions are nonsense, their guru is a false Prophet, their practices are from the Devil etc., and they will goto Hell

The perfect 60sec clip exposing Christianity exhibiting "Christian Supremacy", and what they actual tell you claiming "We are the only true Religion"

A must watch 60sec clip for all Christians who impose and belittle others their (non) Faith:

The Words "Convert or you goto Hell" is from Christianity, not from Hinduism, just to be clear

I don't have to watch the video to know that it is a bunch of sad hogwash. And I am a Christian. Some things have been so greatly and horribly distorted (like the term 'hell') that unless a person is willing to really study the Bible and what it means, there can be no resolution by humans.
