Jesus makes it very clear that the physical body is not important, only spiritual life is important.
By placing so much importance on the bodily resurrection of Jesus that runs counter to what Jesus taught.
Luke 9:60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.
But in that passage the physically alive who he calls dead should follow Him to be made spiritually alive. Those who are more concerned for their dead relatives so as to neglect Christ are the dead who should
be left bury their dead.
John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
That which is born of the Holy Spirit is the human spirit.
This also only means the eternal life which is Christ Himself starts from the center and
works His way out to the circumference.
Satan works from the outside inward trying to totally corrupt man to his core.
The triune God works from the innermost outward to completely sanctify us "spirit and soul and body." (1 Thess. 5:23)
This outermost salvation is called the transfiguration of our body.
For our commonwealth exists in the heavens, from which also we eagerly await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, Who will transfigure the body of our humiliation to be conformed to the body of His glory, according to His operation by which He is able even to subject all things to Himself. (Phil. 3:20,21)
And again it is also called "the redemption of our body".
And not only
so, but we ourselves also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan in ourselves, eagerly awaiting sonship, the redemption of our body. (Rom. 8:23)
The Christian has within the guarantee, the foretaste of this final destiny.
The Holy Spirit as a seal and a pledge is the appetizer of the fullest taste of eternal life to come.
He who has also sealed us and given the Spirit in our hearts as a
pledge. (2 Cor. 1:22)
. . . in Him also believing, you were
sealed with the Holy Spirit of the promise, (Eph. 1:13b)
And yet again -
in Him also believing,
you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of the promise, (Eph. 4:30)
John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
This again only demonstrates that eternal life is imparted into the center of the man to work its way
outward. And God's living word acts to dispense divine life into our innermost being.
The life is Christ Himself. And He not only springs up from within as rivers of living water.
But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall by no means thirst forever; but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into eternal life. (John 4:14)
But He also will "swallow" us up in Himself from without - our transfigured body.
For also, we who are in this tabernacle groan, being burdened, in that we do not desire to be unclothed, but clothed upon, that
what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. (2 Cor. 5:4)
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal
must put on immortality.
And when this corruptible will put on incorruption and this mortal will put on immortality, then the word which is written will come to pass, “
Death has been swallowed up unto victory.” (1 Cor. 15:52,54)
