Women need to start boycotting sports

No. Because you are a man.
She can be the tallest woman ever, but she can never be as strong as you.
Nah. I've seen some women who could definitely beat a man to death. My sister is one of them.

You know both men and women come in all shapes and forms, right? Not every man is a big tough strapping muscleman and not every women has giant breasts and hips.

Thank you for sharing this with us. :)
Like darn...estrogen can affect whether you have breasts or not but it doesnt dictate the size same with hips. Genetics do.

Nor does estrogen have to do with breast milk (that's progestine's job-hopefully i spelt that right but breast milk affects breast size. Usually increases cuz it got milk in it).

My estrogen levels were higher then most people assigned female at birth prior to T and i had milk yet i still had small boobs. Just saying.

You're basically admitting that it is fair that only people of the same size compete.
If fairness is one of the values you cherish, of course.

It's about hormone levels.

By the way. I am happy for her. Period. :)

I am speaking of the changes in future Olympics. It has nothing to do with Miss Khelif.
So they should mesure the hormone levels.
In this case what you suggest. Put her with male boxing?
Or ban her.
Or make it mixed sports and end all this discussion!
But sure most of medsls probably goes to males or women like Iman

I was reading today about the woman olympic boxer who walked off in pain after only 46 seconds and openly cried. This was not some pansy woman. She was a world class boxer. She was forced to compete against someone who had male chromosomes.

I can't blame her. I did Kung Fu for seven years at a school that had only two women, so we had no choice but to spar with men. I'll tell you, after seven years, I got pretty good, but never stopped taking a beating from the guys. After seven years, I was still scared to spar. They HURT me. I think I became a better sparrer because I was forced to spar with those far better than me. But was it a level playing field? Absolutely not.

I personally have absolutely nothing against trans women. I think in general, society need to be far more tolerant of them. But what's happening in women's sports takes it to an extreme that is insane.

Forcing women in sports to compete against biological males is not right. Males are not only stronger, but they have thicker bones, larger hearts, larger lungs, greater hemoglobin levels, and are taller and have longer limbs. There is no way that the best women can compete against the best men.

Dare I use the M word? Yes. This is misogyny. They are disappearing women.

Imane Khelif is a biological female and has always competed as a woman. She is not trans and certainly not a biological male, and being trans is, as far as I know, not recognized by Algerian law in the first place. She would not even be able to represent Algeria if she were trans. She is and has always been a biological female.

The anti-trans vitriol and histrionics wafting out of US politics and media (but also those of some other countries, even if not as visibly) have become utterly blind and indiscriminate in their venom. The only misogyny I see in Imane Khelif's situation is the vicious barrage of attacks on her, a biological female, by segments of the media just because she looks masculine to some.

Create a specific category. :)

Which was in response to, "No. Because you are a man.
She can be the tallest woman ever, but she can never be as strong as you."

So you were saying that any man will beat any woman in any fight, regardless of size. "She can be the tallest woman ever ... "
I countered that with my above response.
And now you're asking me to "admit" something about people of the same size competing?

My response to that is ... What? I'm the one making the point about size.

Okay...I understand your point, now.
What about Lia Thomas?

She must compete against biological women, right?

I think there should be a category for transexual people or intersexual people.

That bone structure and that body structure are not the same as a woman.
Because she doesn't have the same hormonal levels as a woman. Period.

Having breasts is an obstacle, because it hurts excruciatingly if someone hits that part.
And also having hips doesn't imply the same freedom of movement as not having them.

So an athlete who doesn't have these two...is incredibly advantaged.

Imane Khelif is a biological female and wouldn't be allowed to participate under the Algerian flag in the first place if she were trans, as the Algerian state and society wouldn't allow that.

The amount of dehumanizing and ill-thought-out inaccuracy in the media about this woman is absolutely astounding and disgraceful. American politics has increasingly become a plague infecting discourse in other countries.

Fairness is one of the values I cherish.
That is: competing on equal terms.

If you want to tell me that the two athletes are identical, you can tell me. :)

You didn't answer or acknowledge the point about Khelif's being a biological female. What does the above have to do with her participation considering that she's not trans to begin with?
Because the thread is mainly about transsexuals and women's sports.
It's not about that specific case only.

That said...I have written that this lady from Algeria won. Period.

I think if she was transgender, the Western media would make her like international hero.
