Exactly why I believe we need a Savior to come soon. With all of human progression there are still negative consequences. Unless someone goes off to live a simple self-sufficient life growing all their own food and never traveling everything we do can have some kind of negative impact on the planet and its resources. I believe finding perfect solutions for these problems is beyond fallen human ability, but not difficult at all for a perfect Creator to deal with or provide the wisdom we need to do so.

P.S. Most places that sell organic produce try to get it local, at least where I live.

If the Bible is such a good predictor of what might bring about an end to the current world order, then why doesn't it have anything to say about climate change, thermonuclear war, or catastrophic pollution and environmental degradation?

We are fighting against the end of discovery.

We are fighting for telescopes. And thermometers.

It is now a religious war.

Where religion, will either be discovery, or not allowed to be discovery.

No savior will come during this war. If the Horse Headed comes, it won't be a human. Or necessarily even alive. But that is far away. You will not escape this war so easily. As the old saying goes, "may you live in interesting times". You are living in "interesting times" right now. Please fight for discovery. Do not side with the end of discovery. Do not live with those who want to stop time. But be hear now and discover something while you are at it.

But in my opinion; people have been saying this same thing for ages. Mankind is mad, but in the end it always plays out. Earth wont suddenly end, it is slowly ending. It seems that it wont be in this lifetime that the earth will end.

I don't know why you would think I'd like the video and song you posted. The music is irritating and the images are dark and creepy. I turned it off after about 10 seconds. But one thing it reflects is the ever growing darkened state this world is fast falling into.

I can agree that things on the earth won't end suddenly because according to the scriptures the "last days" have been occurring since Jesus was resurrected. But at some point there will be an end to man's world system and I believe it is starting ti unravel big time. So I think Jesus will return soon to bring judgment and save the His creation.

Read this book below and you understand situations where it could only have been God who helped. There are thousands of examples, books, and accounts if you really want to find them. Along with that you can ask God, with sincerity, to reveal Himself to you and He will. In my own life, I have seen God save my daughter from a building completely demolished in an earthquake, provide financial resources right when needed, protection from harmful situations, otherwise impossible and amazing forgiveness for others and so much more, not only in my life, but others. You can write it all off or say everything could be explained in some other reasonable way, but I know what I've seen happen.

Maybe, but may not. Jesus said to "Watch" meaning that there are specific things to watch for. So at some point the signs which indicate the end of the age and His soon return will occur. Although I can't know the hour, day, month, or year I just happen to believe those signs are rapidly taking place at present.

Soo, you KNOW it was god...how? It sounds to me like you just do not care to consider other possibilities and arbitrarily attribute good things to god. How do you know it was not god that caused the earth quack, and thor that saved your daughter?

Slavery and genocide are considered an aberration in all Western and civilized countries. So you must admit that humans have evolved than the past.

I would not be surprised if any generation of Christians claimed that the end of times is near. It's been "near" for twenty centuries now and this looks increasingly like a broken record.

No matter what happens, there is always a rationale to believe that Jesus will come soon: wars, pestilences, floods, draughts, witches, antichrists, earthquakes, gays marriage, hip hop, whatever.

And yet, every generation disappears without experiencing Jesus glorious return. Again and again.

Waiting for Godot, so to speak. I wonder sometimes if the hope that many Christians have to see Jesus return during their life is nothing else than the desire not to die with the doubts of having lived a life of delusion.

So, question for you. Would you prefer that things get worse so that Jesus comes soon, or that we manage to somehow correct things for another couple of generations or more?
