OK, you mean Islam and Qur'an was for a particular time and a particular environment, not much useful now?

You know I don't mean that!

I mean that you have to understand/study scriptures, and not just take them literally without knowledge. There are 100's of sects of Abrahamic religion, and true knowledge comes from not just understanding 'your religion' (perhaps by birth), but from a wide range of topics including history, theology, language, environment .. the list is endless!

People think there is some process to go through, but it isn't the case. All one has to do is accept Jesus, and their saved. No magic ceremonies required.

Thanks

What if I accepted him, than later rejected him entirely?

Do I still get the benefits?

I'm not sure. I think they get rescinded. The thing is, it may not be entirely up to us anyway; it states in the Bible that Jesus/Eshu chooses us, that is actually true. My point of 'arguing' that, (wasn't really), is that of course if we don't accept Jesus, He wouldn't accept us.
That's about the only 'unknown' here, have to doublecheck those verses.

It could seem a tight rope walk but you would live your life out and in a judgment of what has been done while in the flesh you may make it to some level.

It would depend if you were truly converted. There is no second go as far as I am aware.

Just curious.

I'm sorry to Jesus and all, but there is no way I'm aware of for me personally to ever accept something which in no one exists in my world. Neither tangible nor communicable nor able to be experienced.

Oh I was totally all for it. Believed ever nice aspect about it. Then I realized none of it was real. So yea, truly converted to Christianity, than truly unconverted from any ancient religion.

It is all relatively simple and you were probably not properly converted any way in a christian Church.
I never went to church at all, and was living in the bush with my wife and baby. I had a dream and the next day my mind was opened up spontaneously. It was all very powerful and was strong for three years.
But there was another experience and it revealed something to me that showed the error in the churches.

The nature of Jesus will cover some one who can break their heart and spirit deeply and contritely enough, in complete belief and then the Love in the covering nature will be energized by God. That is all there is to it.
It is a matter of practicing and getting to this place. And it all happens in your own body.
There are a lot of scriptures but it is not about intellectual genius trying to unravel it all. The early church had no scriptures a few letters and only the occasional visit by an apostle.

I know it serves your spiritual needs to downplay my experiences as I've related them to you, but I wouldn't bother condescending my experiences as I am much more well aware of my life and what I went through than you could ever be and more than I could ever relate on a forum such as this.

A person can go through a lot in their life but for some it is too short. Life itself and then the christian church damaged me some what but I have come right now. It isn't worth talking about. Move forward and don't look back, try not to any way.
Enjoy the weather find some enjoyment each day.

Dustin, Jesus reveals himself to those who obey his teachings. Those are the people he accepts. See John 14:21, Acts 15:8, and Acts10:35.

I've never met a person who obeyed Jesus's teachings. I find them fascinating, but they do not dictate my life. If the Holy Ghost doesn't want to descend into my body because I don't believe in God, than so be it.

You have to prepare your heart for the Lord. Jesus tells us what to do to be saved. Humble yourself and repent of your sins, and prove your repentance.

I have nothing to prove to anything that has nothing to prove to me.
