Your view on abortion. Atheist welcome.

The point was that if everyone isn't right then someone has to be wrong. And we can't all be right on this because most people's ideas contradict others.

Everyone is right as long as they're not trying to impose their perspective on everyone else.

I say that 98% of women that are having abortions didn't use enough protection.

First of all thats stating the obvious. The only "enough" protection is to not have sex at all or have your uterus and or overies removed. So whats your point?

I know what point you're trying to make, and I don't agree.

You want to say that I can't decide for people because I don't know their situation and I don't know if its right in their situation.
I say that 98% of women that are having abortions didn't use enough protection. 98% of women WILLINGLY had sex and knew that they could get pregnant. 98% chose to abort their baby instead of giving it to someone who will love it - and no, that person isn't hard to find.
98% is accurate, btw. Only 2% of abortion cases are rape cases or cases where the mother will be hurt or die if they continue the pregnancy.

Wow, even I've got to chime in on this line.

Really? You really believe that finding a loving, caring family to adopt your child isn't hard to find? You're incredibly naive then, darling.

Why don't you go and talk to all the children that have spent their lives moving from foster home to foster home because there's NO ONE to take them? Or maybe talk to those who have been adopted, but alas, adopted by parents who beat and molest them and really only took them in for that extra amount on the welfare check.

Before you make claims like this one, let yourself grow up a little and actually see the world for what it is, Leah. It's time to take off those rose-colored glasses.

Yep..except you are only counting the U.S right? And you are only counting the children that have "no parents" right?

Honestly, I just grabbed the first number that came up on Google. It is limited to the US, though.

Can you support this statement with evidence?
Get pregnant and stick a flashlight on your belly after a couple months. There's your evidence
(I do think this is 3 or 4 months in the pregnancy, though, not the first trimester - when they'll turn away from light that is)

right..ALL the world has ALL these loving and stable and capable people just right round the corner EAGER to take on loving and supporting every "unwanted child".

And lets just not talk about the fact that there are masses of suffering children already here.

Sure, everyone would love to just turn their heads and pretend this stuff is not happening.

"...Stanek went public with her traumatizing experiences when hospital staff refused to stop the practice of infanticide. In 2000 she was asked to testify before a U.S. House committee for the federal Born Alive Infants Protection Act (BAIPA). The BAIPA was a two-paragraph bill intended to clarify that any baby who is entirely expelled from his or her mother, and who shows any signs of life, is to be regarded as a legal "person" for all federal law purposes, whether or not the baby was born during an attempted abortion.

A version of this bill, almost identical to the federal bill, was eventually brought before the Illinois Senate, ....
.
"Christ hospital - and we now know other hospitals and clinics around the country - are involved in an abortion procedure called 'induced labor abortion,'" says Stanek in the video, entitled "Kill and Destroy". In this type of abortion, she says, the abortionist inserts a medication into the birth canal of the mother and induces premature labor.
"My experience was that they [the babies] survive as short as a few minutes, to once, almost as long as an eight hour shift.

"To be clear these were living babies who were left out to die. And they were issued both birth and death certificates according to Illinois state law."

Stanek relates the story of how one night she saw a nurse bringing a baby to the soiled utility room to die, because the parents of the child did not want to hold it. The other nurse also did not have the time to hold the child. "When she told me what she was doing I couldn't bear the thought of this suffering child dying alone," says Stanek. "And so I cradled and rocked him for the forty-five minutes that he lived."

Stanek recounts how, besides testifying before the federal House, she also testified before an Illinois State Senate Committee..."

This absolutely sickens me... How absolutely rediculous..
I bet that baby that lived 8 hours could have lived perfectly fine if it was given medical care...

they are alive.

what does 20 weeks look like?

The Baptist Children's Hospital in Miami, Florida, said Amillia Sonja Taylor was born at 21 weeks and six days on 24 October 2006

Conceived by in vitro fertilisation, she was delivered via Caesarean section after attempts to delay a premature delivery failed, the hospital said. She breathed without assistance at birth and even tried to cry.

Most hospitals will not perfornm late term abortions period.(late term after 16 weeks) Its illegal in clincis. But it is legal in many states up to 24 weeks in a hospital only...Of the ones that will ..each state has a requirement for a 2nd physician or not a 2nd physician to attend in case there are signs of life outside the womb. The second physicain is there to render medical aid in those situations. But its up to the state whether that is required or not.If its not required..it is possible late term abortions result in a very very premature baby on their hands that they can not try and save.

Thats my understanding of it.
