The Return of Christ

1st Cor. 15:51 is addressed to those of Matthew 25:40 Jesus' brothers.
Chapter 15 of 1st Corinthians is addressed to 'Jesus' brothers' who have that first or earlier resurrection - Rev. 20:6; 5:9-10; 2:10
People like those of Luke 22:28-30 . They are classed as saints or holy ones - Daniel 7:18
Whereas those in God's Hall of Fame - Hebrews 11: 13,39 - are still unconscious in the grave - Ecclesiastes 9:5; Isaiah 38:18; Psalm 6:5
Including David - Acts 2:34

A serious question we can ask ourselves, and also meditate upon, is "Why do NDE experiences predominantly enter a world where they, in no way shape or form, want to come back into their body?

Nearly all describe worlds beyond explanations, Love beyond what this world can produce, or even experience.

This world is a mirage, a mere figment of our imagination, a mere semblance of reality, a construct of our mind.

By the way, all those that want it, are welcome to it and all it can give.

Regards Tony
Imo There’s only one person on earth who experiences the afterlife when they die. The rest will have to wait until he dies to come back with him.

I understand that Christians don’t really believe Christ will return. To them it’s more about the pipe - dream, than Him actually returning. It’s just an avoidance mindset for being unable to fix the world’s problems by using the excuse’ Christ will return and fix everything’. But if Christ really returned they would claim He was a false prophet.
Imo he’s here now and will return again

Rhetorical question, right? You know the answer. Why do creationists ask empiricists why empiricists accept the theory of evolution, or ask what evidence there is supporting it? It's not for information.

That they're probably wrong about what they believe by faith.

What would you expect an unbeliever to get out of hearing that belief expressed? Nothing valuable.

You must mean the promise of that. That promise has no value to a skeptic. It needn't be kept and probably cannot be kept.

I agree that everything will be OK after death, but not necessarily before depending on your luck and your philosophy/psychology.

No, they don't know that. They choose to believe it. And why? Because they want eternal pie-in-the-sky and think that believing it exists makes it exist.

Maybe, but even if he was mighty enough to pass through a cloud and even if he travelled at the speed of light, he'd be no further than 2000 lightyears from earth now

Enlightened? Au contraire. Benighted. You're not describing an open mind, but rather, an uncritical one. A critical thinker shouldn't believe the claims of a so-called messenger absent evidence that he wasn't just a man speaking his own mind and attributing it to a god.

Nobody knows what the afterlife will be like, they can only believe it will be so great. I for one am not buying that.
I am sure in my mind that there is an afterlife but I don't pretend to know what it will be like.
I don’t pretend either

Sweet. Maybe someone will come for all of them. Haha
Actually, I believe the same person will come for all of them (they just call the same person different names).

Before recent times the world was not globalized, so 'God' would send different teachers to different regions. Now that we are globalized, God will send one teacher for all even though each group expects a different one by name.

It just shows that most people are afraid of death and they can not accept the fact that nature can be cruel at times. Sometimes very cruel indeed.
I am not sure what the cruelty of nature has to do with the coming of a Messiah, but OK.

Sounds good

Now I believe he is the first to break the cycle and he won't be coming again. I believe he was humble enough to assume he would be back, but his resurrection was the final ascension of that soul, and proof we all can do it.

Can I ask how you can believe that someone was resurrected 2000 years ago but not see how that story is a symbol for today’s reality?

I'm not sure I follow you. I see all souls continuing to reincarnate and progress in their journey to perfection. Once achieved, enduring until the end, as Jesus did, they've completed their journey and are back with the Father awaiting all the brothers and sisters still on the path. To me, that is the symbol of today's reality. For two thousand years souls have been following Jesus's (Melchizedek's, Adam's) Way.

I see. you don’t believe the resurrection was on earth. Because you said earlier, his resurrection was the final ascension. Gotcha and furthermore, in this comment you don’t think anybody’s resurrected.

Physically, bodily, no. I think the resurrection story along with others, are metaphors. For instance, the virgin birth, IMO, represents that Jesus was truly Adam, born by God's hands, but not of woman.

I feel you with all the bogus stories about seven days of creation. It’s hard to decipher fiction from fact.

Again, I don't follow your meaning.

I've said nothing about 7 days of creation. It's all metaphor. Metaphor for what, exactly, we can only study and contemplate for what makes sense to us and feels correct at any given time. "Adam" is the representative name for the first man with a "likeness" of heavenly beings. Was it the first Ardepithecus ramidus? The first Homo Sapien? Or as I believe, somewhere between. I believe the story of Noah was the metaphor tale of Homo Sapien dominance. But no one "knows" so humankind still looks at the stars and wonders.

It’s all good. You believe it’s all metaphors except for the fact that you believe in reincarnation until perfection which is cool
