Because as a women what someone thinks is apart of everyday sexism against my sex. Like Mystic said most of the time what someone says and thinks about a particular group does not exist in a vacuum.
I have been told I am boring, I am weird, I am naive, none of those things offend me.
I have tried to suppress feeling offended over sexist comments, but that only allows it to manifest and hit me a couple of days later, so instead of accepting how I feel, suppressing it just further punishes me.

I would be OFFENDED if a guy sexual harassed me and also scared. I never said all people of colour are offended by the same things I am, but I also don't put blame and responsibility on an oppressed group for being offended by something that oppresses them.
I will explain myself, when you belong to a group that has a long history of oppression, what people say affects you, because you have been facing the same prejudice all your life, telling them that they ENJOY being a victim is just sick, and sounds like it comes from a place of privilege.

Apparently my opinion that men are not an oppressed group is worse then someone thinking that rape victims are stupid.
My opinion does not effect men's everyday lives but that kind of attitude about rape victims effects women's everyday lives-big difference.
The person I'm talking about has been diagnosed and treated for PTSD over the years, she still can not go more then 15mins outside by herself without having a panic attack and even then she sometimes has to be on the phone to someone.
