The problem with the JWs' imagining of the future is that they don't live in the present. Everything for them is put on hold for the "New System" and they generally refrain from doing anything other than working their tails off for the Watchtower Society in hopes that they will be able to...
Oh, no! There AREN'T magical fairies in my computer? :(o_O Are you saying that I should stop putting nectar into that sliding "plate holder" that pops out when I push a button so that the fairies can be well nourished?
Don't mean to sound snippy, but JWs are just as "ripped off" as anyone believing in the Rapture. JWs give their time, money, health and life to a religious publishing company that tells them that it will all be worth it when they finally arrive in the New System where all their dreams will be...
Let's see...before you get to experience any of these "wonders" of the New System, let us not forget that the Paradise you envision will be littered with billions of rotting corpses that you will have to deal with. Yes, I know, JWs believe that the birds of the Heavens will devour the dead, but...
The problem is that Jehovah did not choose those men who now reside in upstate New York. They appointed themselves, and you just accept what they tell you even when it is wrong, or dangerous, or both.
This counsel is, of course, excellent. Too bad that JWs don't follow it. Some examples:
"Husbands, love your wives as the Christ loved the congregation"...but, if you are a wife beater and abuser, don't worry because the elders will counsel her to be more submissive to you.
"Wives should...
What is really funny, though, is that despite the fact that the Society has warned JWs repeatedly to stay away from any sites (discussion/debate boards, chat rooms, blogs, websites, etc.) where disfellowshipped, disassociated and apostate exJWs might be posting, they seem to totally forget that...
Well, you know that "pleasant surprise" he speaks about would be yours only if you were lucky enough to die before God starts destroying all of the "wicked" (i.e. any who are not JWs or judged by God as having the right "heart condition" to become JWs if only they have the opportunity to do so.)...
Just so that you know...JWs don't believe in a fiery Hell or infinite torture. What they do believe is that God will kill 99.9% of the human population in excruciating ways (tongues rotting out of their mouths, etc.) but once they are dead, that's it.
Sorry, but parts of your post just cracked me up. If I had been drinking soda or coffee, it would now be sprayed all over my computer monitor.
Yes, there are risks with blood transfusions. There are risks with any medical procedure. Taking antibiotics could kill you due to adverse reactions...
Okay...my bad...I did a really quick check but, obviously, it wasn't as thorough as it should have been.
Here's more, though, for your enjoyment(?)

Ah, yes, I know all about the "principles" that the GB use to dupe JWs into accepting anything they tell the rank and file. You pride yourself on being "spiritually mature" when you can accept and teach as truth something that is absurd and that has absolutely nothing to do with Biblical...
You speak of "safer alternatives." I do agree that I, personally, would opt for a safer alternative, but there is a caveat. If a person has suffered a traumatic injury, or, like my father, was bleeding out due to the inability of his blood to clot, then there is no "safer alternative." The...
No, taking blood through a transfusion is not "technically eating it." As you said, "It's sad that your own arguments are so poorly researched."
A person who is malnourished is not given a blood transfusion to nourish them. If a hospital did that, the person would die. Blood taken...
I'm a bit confused. Doesn't my screen name of RedhorseWOMAN give you a small clue as to my gender? ;)
Trust me...I paid attention very, very well, which is why I started to question what I was told was occurring in the JW organization and what I knew was actually occurring in the JW...
The problem has absolutely nothing to do with following what Christ required. Nowhere in the Bible does it mention the use of blood for medical purposes. It mentions only eating the blood of an animal killed for food. The pouring out of the animal's blood was showing respect for life. JWs...
BTW, how do you feel about "Tight Pants Tony" (Anthony Morris III) with his rant about those "tight pants" (metrosexual look) that he stated were designed by homosexuals? And do you agree with him that sisters should not wear Spandex when jogging or exercising?
Sorry, I missed that altogether. I must say, though, that this is certainly a turnaround from what I was used to. Beards were something that would automatically "mark" a person as being spiritually weak and not allowed to serve in any capacity whatsoever.
Then again, there have always been...
Blood is not given as nourishment. A person entering the hospital with severe malnutrition is not given a blood transfusion. Blood transfusions are not the same as eating the blood of an animal killed for food.
Can you tell us the scriptures that outline which blood fractions are and are not...
I notice that you didn't respond to my question about whether or not those JWs you claim have beards are in any sort of positions of responsibility like elders, ministerial servants, pioneers, or even handling the microphone. Why is that?
You are focused on my initial post where I said beards...
