The religion itself, or it's followers? I feel that the followers define the religion, along with it's founding documents and whatnot, but some like to make a distinction.
In the current world, I think it does more harm than good.
It's outlived it's old uses, the violent traditions are...
I don't really care for it, more into not feeling social pressure and getting trampled over in stores.
This time of year is the best for getting your wallet stolen, too. That's always fun.
Never really got the chance to celebrate Christmas until last year, what with the family issues and all.
I...
I think someone becomes too religious when their personality ends up completely dependent on their religion.
Personally, I'd rather have a conversation with a normal religious person, as opposed to some religion's flesh conduit.
As long as it ins't a public area, safe space it up. I don't care.... if it's in moderation.
Nazi propaganda probably shouldn't be allowed in college, but a certain group shouldn't be given special treatment either.
The space needs to be one to keep a stable environment, after all.
Controlled...
Just because you wouldn't die doesn't mean you can't get hurt...
In fact, you could enter a coma like state with your smashed up body and die when the time runs out.
That aside, I would probably do some drug testing, just out of curiosity of what it'd be like.
Might also try snowboarding down...
Let's say a god or gods showed themselves to me today, right before I ate breakfast, I would still have questions.
Lots and lots of question, the answers of which will decide whether or not I care about the entity that has shown itself to me.
You should ask yourself plenty of questions as well...
I don't know, actually
Every time I read it, I feel like it answers itself by presupposing that god(s) exist.
I read it as "(A) exists, so how do I know (A) exists."
Shouldn't it be, "Even if god or gods do exist, how can we possibly verify that existence with facts?"
I spewed all that out too fast and went back to edit it.
But I saw your question and couldn't not answer, even though it wasn't thrown in my direction.
I basically said that a god who would give out impossible commands and punishment for inability to follow through is either a sadist or an...
Cause it's an S...
That or it hit its own laced up super-powered blunt one night and spewed out our current situation, then fell asleep and forgot the next day.
Don't think much of it at all, it can only be to me as is perceived by me.
Hell, maybe it is a game...
A crappy game with a stupid story line, it's too freeworld, has too many alternate endings, AI could be better and it should have been a third person cinematic.
The better question would be, why do people care about their opinion on a subject they should have no say in (in America)?
Lions do not concern themselves with the opinions of sheep.
OK, let me start over and take this in parts, just to make sure I'm understanding you.
I said:
Going from that, I get a response from you, which I will re-answer in parts.
Yes, I fully intended that sort of consistency.
People are what need to get it right, not systems and laws, so that...
Many but not a majority.
I would say more atheists understand Christians than the other way around, as many or most atheists used to be religious.
At the very least, they understand the mindset of the religious environment they grew up in.
I fully understand how a fundamentalist christian...
You didn't grasp my point, I don't want to throw out Islam because they copy-paste correct morals sometimes.
Same with the constitution, international law, human rights and so on.
I meant to say that simply because Islam gets some things correct some of the time, It doesn't at all overshadow...
Wouldn't that violate some high-up privacy laws?
It's a terrible idea, I can't think of a single good thing about it.
There are obviously some not so well hidden motives behind this.
I would support optional polling, but that's as far as I'd ever care to go.
