1) Since ancient times, politicians in their majority haven't been the most moral of people. This is not at all surprising.
2) I'd allow it as well, but only on the condition that the right to divorce is immediately given to the child, along with the ability to enter protective services.
I would like to see the scientists that actually said those things and their credentials.
Scientists aren't supposed to make claims, they are there to tell us what is most likely.
It's what they are supposed to represent through the science they practice, in any case.
You didn't know already?
Rich people getting another dollar in their bank account is way more important than issues that concern all of us.
The only way to fight it is to hold gov. accountable in all matters all the time
If the US political powers have 100mil people telling them to solve this...
Of course people can be poisoned by wealth and power, that isn't inclusive of only the religious.
But a non-religious gov. is one that is held much more accountable by the those that power it.
The gov. that is held accountable by it's people is the one that will commit the least crimes, at least...
Probably a lot.
The constitution would be more strictly followed, for one.
Tax exempt churches wouldn't be a thing.

I can kill stuff pretty easily, thanks to my grandpa's way of life.
Knives, guns, bows, crossbows, trapping and fishing are...

Don't know what I would be afraid of to get tattoos.
No, I don't need to rectify my atheism, it stands on it's own as a response to theism.
I don't believe in the god explanation and am therefore an atheist.
Whatever explanation I rely on instead is my business and cannot be tied to atheism, as atheism isn't applicable to it.
Makes you wonder if we will be able to reach a sort of pinnacle down the line of the many, many years to come.
That is to say, if we are basically akin to the bacteria of our universe now, what will we be in the future if given enough time?
I agree that we are insignificant, I also think this...
To think without restraints, that's my basic idea of a freethinker (...).
I can think of 12 people I know, all related, who hit "god did it" in their thoughts and don't bother with alternative possibilities.
