Tesla was certainly a brilliant engineer, but he was a crackpot when it came to physics and he often made outrageous claims with no evidence to back it up. He was a big self promoter and while theres nothing inherently wrong with that, theres something of a Tesla cult that exists today who...
Of course. It's derived from the Latin "volva" meaning "deadly snail" or "Swedish car" and the Greek "Iluva" meaning "lady parts". The Iluvatar is located between a woman's Eä and her Ainu.
That wasn't so hard- don't you people have a gynecological dictionary around?
Oddly enough my joke was about scissoring but, again, I held back.
And please refrain from using offensive gynecological terms like "Iluvatar" in the future. Kids read this forum you know.
Hmmmm. Steven Spielberg is Jewish and he directed Munich, a film about a former Mossad agent hunting down several Black September members. And he also made Jaws...
The conspiracy theory practically writes itself!
I'd like the zombie scenario... :)
I don't like the microbes-eating-plastics scenario though. :(

Many of Venters competitors see his method(s) as impractical and theres no denying that Venter is a business man- with the requisite hype- as much as he is a scientist. So its all still up...
Venter hinted at using the synthetic cells to clean up oil spills when he first revealed his discovery, but lately he seems to be interested in applying the technology to algae-based fuel. Apparently Exxon has expressed interest and pledged a potential 600 million in cooperation with Venter's...
You're right. I now have to assume that's how they meant it as well; the ad does begin with Allah and ends with Christ.
I used to do volunteer work with the Hollywood CFI (it got me into some free shows at the Steve Allen theater so it was worth it. :D) and many of the CFIers were mythicists...
I think a link between atheism and skepticism is valid and it makes sense to me that CFI would enforce the connection. And while I do think skepticism towards miracles or religious claims (like religion as the sole source of morality) in general is warranted, I'm not so sure about skepticism...
Angellous_evangellous is RF's Wikileaks.
I'd like to see a sci-fi story where some bacterial alien life form invades Earth- something like The Andromeda Strain. The planet panics as the bacteria eats everything in its path but is finally destroyed by the ultimate weapon:
That'd be neat.
