    Islamic or Secular Egypt

No one is going to change the second article of the constitution. Even if they did, it will be subjected to people's choice. I don't really think Egyptians would choose to remove the second article. It should stay, but we should also consider more rights to the non-Muslims.

Tunisia and Egypt ! Way to go

The constitution is a big joke, it needs huge reformations. Today they released the prisoners.

    Egypt

Well, let Egypt be free of course. Let me clear out some misconceptions: 1- Muslim Brotherhood should not be compared to Iranian Islamists, because MB are moderate, rational and would accept liberalism to some extent (not perfect, but acceptable), while Iranian Islamists are radicals. I don't...

Tunisia and Egypt ! Way to go

I do like what the Army does so far. They seem committed to satisfy the requirements of the revolution. The authority is within the people, and they seem to understand this, surprisingely, the police as well!

He made that to himself. I feel sorry for him. He could have remained a hero!

I agree with Badran and maro. I heard rumors that he is in coma. It broke my heart, after all.

Let Freedom Ring! Mubarak leaves Cairo!

MB is not a radical group, but more like Zionists, as Alceste commented. I'm not a fan of ideologies in the same manner as well.

Let Freedom Ring! Mubarak leaves Cairo!

Why would the Egyptians elect Islamist radicals? We do not have strong radical groups in Egypt that would be effective in strong elections.

Let Freedom Ring! Mubarak leaves Cairo!

The people would never allow for that. We marched in millions to denounce the dictator, and we would never allow for this to happen again. You are underestimating the power of people. The people made this, and not the Army. We selected the Army to run the transitional phase. The Army didn't...

Let Freedom Ring! Mubarak leaves Cairo!

Do you think Mubarak just resigned by himself? The Army has been negotiating intensively with Mubarak the possible exits for few days, and at the end, the Army had to take the decision for him to save the last hope for stability.

    The Situation in Egypt

Ymir, I really hope we are right at this. Lets pray for more democracy in the region, and more freedomes. Only this would grant full peace and understanding.

Let Freedom Ring! Mubarak leaves Cairo!

And Mubarak is over now. The Army realizes that people's will is now much stronger than the regime. The Army could have supported Mubarak till the end, but they left him for the sake of people (i.e. for the stronger side)

Let Freedom Ring! Mubarak leaves Cairo!

The Army announced that it will not supress the people's demands, and would not impose itself in the political scene once this is over. Egyptians respect the Army since ever and we are confident about their intentions. Lets just celebrate for now; the end of a horrible era in Egypt :) We...

    The Situation in Egypt

The Army is neutral. We won't deny that it had to be bit biased to its supreme council leader, but after all, it will have to support the people. The Army won't benefit from ruling the country, in contrary, I believe this delay was all to postpone this decision that we surely know the Army does...

Thanks my dear friend! I can not describe how amazing freedome feels! Pray for us, we still have loads of work to do to establish full democracy. I hear that US and Israel are worried about whats going on, and I hope this won't interfer in our internal issues.

Let Freedom Ring! Mubarak leaves Cairo!

Exactly! :D The army supports the people. And no one right now would dare to go through troubles with them. You have no idea what it means to destroy a regime that has been supessing people for 30 years or more. The people's spirit can not be described. The Army's benifit is to support...

We will wait and see how the army works. But this is only a temp transitional phase, until democtratic elections are conducted.
