Do you believe in a creator of the universe/universes?

Except I WASN’T talking about your “first taste of a scallop”, you followed the same trend as A Vestigial Mode and many others here. Just like A Vestigial Mode, you misunderstood what I said and blew everything completely out of proportion [along with omitting of key information (like the...

Do you believe in a creator of the universe/universes?

O’rly? I am stuck in my own opinion? If that’s the case, then why did explicitly admitted it is unwise to jump to conclusions with the case about whether there is a creator or not in post #122? Let me quote myself --- “Whether Elvis is alive or not, or whether black cats really bring bad luck...

Do you believe in a creator of the universe/universes?

I don’t think so. On the contrary, I feel like I am doing the opposite while others are assuming there is only a self-governing, independent traveling cart and putting this cart before the horse. I am just saying if there is a [hypothetical] cart that is traveling in continuous and consistent...

Do you believe in a creator of the universe/universes?

Well, substitute “gremlins” breaking your toast for “sentient, conscious, focused, perceptive, intelligent, accurate, creative agent”, and you get a higher probability. Now, substitute that for “god.” Weather, in the context of our discussion, is not a legitimate example. It’s simply a side...

What Role Do Your Emotions Play in Your Spirituality?

This reminds me of another thread where we were discussing dreams and our dream realm. From what I've learned via googling around, in our dream world, our conscious mind becomes dormant and subconscious mind takes control. However, if we can somehow transcend our subconscious mind and it's...

War Crimes ... but no action to be taken.

Indeed, sir. Pretty much like Islamic terrorism only skyrocketed, and more and more Muslims became terrorists after American aggression and oppression on the Muslim world. There, most likely, is a connection.

War Crimes ... but no action to be taken.

This is the same justice system which gives immeasurably mild punishments to pedophiles while severely harsh punishments for possessing cannabis. Well, was this unexpected?

What Role Do Your Emotions Play in Your Spirituality?

I hold the same view. Negative passions are invaluable assets for balancing out, or even overwhelming, negative forces that are acting against us [whether they are inside of us or on the outside]. Vengeance has been my closest ally, throughout my life [especially my early life]. It has kept...

What Role Do Your Emotions Play in Your Spirituality?

One of the most decisive role [if not the most decisive role]. They are like fuel to the engine of my self. They serve like a fuel spurring me towards making a spiritual progress [i.e. living a spiritually good and morally upright life] or they serve like gravity dragging me towards serving my...

Why don't Islam and Christianity believe in Reincarnation or rebirth

I am personally torn between whether there is reincarnation and/or just heaven and hell [in case there is another life after our death in this life]. This topic is just as mysterious to me as the topic of whether the time and/or universe is finite or infinite. Much like in the case of time and...

Do you believe in a creator of the universe/universes?

How common is the occurrence of gremlins breaking toaster in our everyday life as compared to occurrence of highly-sophisticated and complex systems [and/or effects and/or anything] coming to fruition only due some sentient, conscious, focused, perceptive, intelligent, accurate, creative...

Do you believe in a creator of the universe/universes?

It did, but those weren't the decision/beliefs of my true, real world self. Those were decision/beliefs as they were made to my dream self by my subconscious mind. I did. But I was being objective. My personal claims about my own personal lucid dreams would just be anecdotes rather than...

Do you believe in a creator of the universe/universes?

Whether Elvis is alive or not, or whether black cats really bring bad luck, can be scientifically assessed and determined, the same cannot be done with the case about whether there is a creator or not. I don't think it's wise to jump to conclusions with little-to-no information about something.

Do you believe in a creator of the universe/universes?

As for me personally, I do tentatively believe in a creator, or at least the sentient, conscious, intelligent force governing universe is far likelier than not due to the correspondence of the belief with what actually does occur in our real life.

Do you believe in a creator of the universe/universes?

Far likelier than not, I'd say yes. Sure, this could just be an effect of chemical processes of our brains, but that doesn't necessarily mean the brain have no creator at all. I personally feel like there is a conscious designer of the brain going by how unquestionably sophisticated and complex...

    Proving logic can't explain existence

Science, maths and logic are all based on quantification, and we can only properly quantify the physical, not the metaphysical. It's is beyond quantification. So yes, science, maths, logic are all limited [as I said in my initial posts].

What's the term to describe this?

The purpose and design behind little children cancer and/or degenerative genetic disease could very well be simliar to the purpose and design behind the [near] drowning of little four year-old hitler. It may appear to be evil for us, but it might be a necessary evil to even out other one of...

    Spiritual but not religious

My apologies, I didn't read all of it as I am extremely tired atm and about to take some nap, but I'll answer some inquiries brought up by Deeje: To me personally, spirituality is the studies of the spiritual laws of nature [like karma] and morality. And the ultimate purpose of spirituality to...

    Proving logic can't explain existence

Hmmm … I feel like you’re onto something here [with the reaching to the carrot because the stick keeps getting shorter]. Yes, I agree with you here. Like I said in my original posts, we don’t know much how pre-big bang universe. This might very well be the case. Some other factor might have...
