Can God have a Son?

Thief

Rogue Theologian
Are we really getting anywhere?

How about...if you call God...'father'
Have you not declared yourself a son?

Or perhaps we should move to limiting the discussion and making declaration...
A Spirit...the Creator in particular....
would be interested in having a son.....physically.

The title of this thread should have been can God have a sun? Yes! When talk about God it`s Cosmic. When you talk about God you should be describing the moon & the stars, the galaxies, the novas, the polestar, the milky way, the black hole, etc.

I can't imagine why not. It would seem odd to me that we humans could do something God himself couldn't do.

Krishna had 16,108 wives at Dwaraka & yet 38 years after the Battle of Kuruksetra his sons all went crazy & died with violent deaths. As if they were like zombies. This was a result of Gandhari`s curse at Krishna. For killing her son, Duryodana. Ganhari was a pure devotee of Vishnu whom she knew was Krishna himself.

No worries. Let me know if you find out. :)
My guess is that there's intention somewhere to encourage the notion that Jesus spoke exclusively in Aramaic, rather than Aramaic, Greek and even Hebrew. Catholic biblical interpretation is put into even more jeopardy by the notion that Jesus spoke Greek.

You don`t guess in a religious debate. That`s why it`s fruitless to argue with someone who makes guesses.

Well, as to whether we're getting anywhere, most likely the answer is no. )(
But often that's how philosophical discussions work.

In the meanwhile, your question is interesting, but it points out the distinction: if we are going in very broad strokes and declaring we are all a God's children, then Jesus simply falls in line with the rest of us. His declaration is of no real significance since we all can make it. He was simply stating he was human, nothing more or less.

But that idea in itself may cause issues for some people.

You know if it came down to it, Jesus could turn into Yahweh just like Bruce Banner turns into the Hulk and kick Thors butt. Yahweh smash!

No, Jesus would become Jehovah, not Yahweh.. at least, if he were up on his KJV ;)

But we both know Jehovah talks a bigger game than he can play.

Why not Jesus turning into the muscular Balaramaji with a club & plough on his left & right arms ready to smash the skulls of his enemies to smithereens.

Odion has already essentially stated my reply :D BTW, your faith is also myth without any way to verify it. I do not fear at all, my Gods will certainly not stand before yours, except perhaps if yours is foolish enough to actually try starting Ragnarok, as Revelations seems to say. My Gods win that one. It is already written.

On the contrary. God is available to me to verify His word. Also many of the historical biblical elements are verified by archeology.

Every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord.

I am a son but not in the same way as Jesus.
