Christians what do you think about Trump's convictions

metis

aged ecumenical anthropologist
I believe busy people sign a lot of things without paying much attention. It isn't proof that he intentionally broke the law. I can see a scenario where his lawyer hands him a bunch of papers to sign and he just signs them trusting the lawyer.
The law is the law, thus if one is careless enough not to read what they're signing, that's their legal problem. Do you do this?

It's not so much the numbers that is the issue but was moving the monies involved from one bank account to someone else's bank account. so logically he had to know what he was doing. Cohen and Weisselberg both have served prison terms doing Trump's bidding.

You have that backward, which is why Trump was indicted and Biden (and Pence) were not. Biden merely had the documents in his possession. He didn't deny having them, he didn't try to hide the documents from the government, he didn't claim that they were his property, he didn't try to claim that he declassified them, and he cooperated with authorities. Unlike with Trump, with Biden there was no criminal intent.
By what I know, Trump had the right to declassify them as the president. Biden did not have that right, and still held them carelessly.

IS there some evidence that Trump tried to hide the documents?
No. Babies can't be (legally) executed.
Nice, I thought abortion is till allowed.
Kentucky.
Thanks. Can you explain how are republicans keeping them down? And how do you think "democrats" would improve their situation? Would removing religion make them richer? How?
Biden's pandemic response saved lives, but only for those that participated.
Unfortunately there is no good reason to believe that.
The unvaccinated continued dying at alarming rates.
I don't think we have any real stats to support that.
Those that survived had more long COVID.
To what is that based on?
You won't see the liberals embracing the word Reich, nor calling wannabe Nazis "good people."
Aren't they supporting Azov Brigade in Ukraine?

But, it is probably true that they are not embracing any word, except maybe pronouns. I think it is wrong to call people who are against freedom of speech, liberals.
And Liberals don't admire dictators like Hitler and Putin. Fascists do those things.
Maybe they don't admire anyone, but they surely seem to act like dictators, or minions of dictators.
That was your response to, "Many Republicans have incurred massive judgments for harmful speech lately. Alex Jones has. Rudy Giuliani has. Fox News has. Trump has. Sydney Powell will"

Maybe you didn't understand what I wrote. Did you think that Biden caused those people to lose their massive civil lawsuit?
I think Biden, as the alleged president of U.S, is partly guilty for that people judged for "harmful speech". He should not allow the constitution be ignored and people to be judged for using the right the constitution gives to them.

Not at all difficult to do:
Look at the attached stats for Mississippi.
Thanks. Can you explain how are republicans keeping them down? And how do you think "democrats" would improve their situation? Would removing religion make them richer? How?

No, you’re a conservative who thinks others should pay for services that you take for free...
No, I don't think others should pay for services that I use, that would be something a socialists would think.

Only against mandatory taxes.

Which taxes aren't "mandatory"?

You don't have to call it for me.

Well since this is religious forums...
We have heard what strong dems and strong repubs think...
So regardless of party what do the Christians here think of Trumps convictions.

Wasn't Jesus also convicted?
Though I'm no longer Christian, I suspect to many, this will just make Trump the martyr.
All the democrats need to do now is make Trump carry a cross through the streets while beating him.

IDK, hang him on a cross, pronounce him dead and perhaps he too will rise on the 3rd day.

I answered your question. Nothing more.

Then all politicians in the USA, including republicans, are socialist. They get paid from taxes. Good luck getting them to support eliminating their pay.

By what I know, Trump had the right to declassify them as the president.
He had the authority to declassify documents, but they still go throught a committee and assessment by national security. Trump isn't mentally fit to make these decisions, but Biden is. Biden did not have that right, and still held them carelessly.
IS there some evidence that Trump tried to hide the documents?
The few documents Biden and pence had were due to carelessness, not deliberate thefts like Trump. Biden and pence cooperated with the FBI, Trump did not. Trump even lied to the FBI, and there's evidence that he might still have some documents in New Jersey.
I think Biden, as the alleged president of U.S,
No, he won the 2020 election, and you are believing Trump's lies.

Maybe, but he didn't declassify them. He didn't have the right to take them home, nor to lie about not having them, nor to try to physically hide them. You're probably unaware of Walt Nauta and CCTV footage Trump tried to conceal showing people hiding documents for Trump:

"Prosecutors have said Mr Nauta can be seen on surveillance video removing the boxes from the storage room ahead of an imminent search of the Palm Beach property, and later moving some of them back - one of at least five times he moved boxes in and out of the room.
They further allege that, in a May 2022 interview with the FBI, Mr Nauta lied that he did not know how the boxes had arrived on site, where they were being stored or whether Mr Trump had intentionally kept any." Who is Walt Nauta, the aide charged alongside Donald Trump?
IS there some evidence that Trump tried to hide the documents?
Yes. Look at the link above. Why don't you know these things? Are you watching the news at all?
Can you explain how are republicans keeping them down?
That's a long answer. You need to do some researching on your own. What I know is the result of decades of being a bit of a political junkie.
And how do you think "democrats" would improve their situation?
Democrats work for ordinary citizens. The Republicans serve conservative elites. We just saw that play out when comparing the accomplishments of the Republicans under Trump and those of Biden, but you wouldn't know what those are if you don't follow the news.
Unfortunately there is no good reason to believe that.
That was a response to "Biden's pandemic response saved lives, but only for those that participated." You are incorrect. I can see that you have almost no information about the efficacy of the vaccine and the differential survival rates between those who received it and those that didn't. I guess you've never seen that data, or if you did, didn't understand what it tells us.

Here's an amazing account of the devastation that one of these anti-vax family suffered.
I don't think we have any real stats to support that.
That was in response to, "The unvaccinated continued dying at alarming rates." All your comment means is that you are uninformed.
To what is that based on?
That was a response to, "Those that survived had more long COVID." Medical studies. I'll leave you to Google that if you're sincere about wanting answers.
I think Biden, as the alleged president of U.S, is partly guilty for that people judged for "harmful speech".
Biden had nothing to do with those huge civil damage awards.

Moving boxes does not necessary mean he was trying to hide them, especially if he brought them back to the same place.

Unfortunately I don't see any reason to think either generally serves ordinary people. Both of them seems to serve highest bidder. And in the case of Biden, it looks like the highest bidder was China, so well has Biden served China's benefit.

I would rather call them all fascists, because I think it is more fitting to them.

Why vote for a person who is so careless?
No, he won the 2020 election, and you are believing Trump's lies.
The reason why I don't think Biden won is not Trump. The reason is for example how Pelosi acted, and all the problems in vote counting. .

So you think all politicians are fascists. That doesn't give you much choice.
Why vote for a person who is so careless?
Because it was staffers who were careless, not the Biden or pence. These were a few documents among hundreds of thousands of doccuments, so an easy thing to overlook. And they cooperated.

On the other hand Trump deliberately stole documents that belonged to the USA. And he deliberately hid them from the FBI. He lied about what he had, where they were, and there's a chance he still has some documents in New Jersey.
The reason why I don't think Biden won is not Trump. The reason is for example how Pelosi acted, and all the problems in vote counting. .
OK, what did pelosi do that is suspicious and leads you to conclude there was election fraud (that wasn't Trump and his co-conspirators)?

And what problems in the vote counting? Remember all swing states had numerous recounts and they all gave similar results. The Trump side filed 62 lawsuits in states to challenge vote counts and lost every single case except one that allowed observers to be 6 feet away from counters rather than 10 feet.

The only organized election fraud was the fake elector scheme, and Trump trying to pressure state election officials to "find him votes" that weren't cast by citizens.

All you need to do to get answers is investigate what has been reported. I'm assuming that you didn't bother to look at the link I provided. Nauta's been indicted for helping Trump conceal documents and will likely either eventually reach a plea deal or be convicted at trial.
I don't see any reason to think either generally serves ordinary people.
You're uninformed, so of course you have no way to differentiate the parties. And I'll bet that your opinions come from conservative indoctrination media.

I'd share with you, but I'm sure you wouldn't look at whatever I wrote or linked to. You're committed to remaining uninformed.

He actually showed some people without security clearance some classified documents. He repeatedly refused to turn them over even after been asked and then demanded. Why do you continue to defend that which is not morally defensible?

But DID he leave? Sure looks like it.
Barely. Perhaps you remember January 6th.
I'm glad Trump is able to get under your skin with mere words. People call him a dictator, so he goads them by saying he's going to be a dictator. They call him Hitler, so he then uses words such as Reich.
I just love how he can stay on your mind, in your soul, and under your skin. He's proving he can control you.
Thanks for not responding to the content of the post, yet again.

And thanks for confirming that MAGA are just in it to hurt other people. You'd be fine with Trump being a dictator because it would upset the people on the other side of the political aisle. Those are some great principles you've got there.

First that poster does hate trump as do you so you're off to a bad start. I wish people had the courage to not lie but that's not the case here.
So what? That's not a rebuttal to a well thought out and reasoned post.

It's not like he just said "I hate Trump so there! Na na boo boo!"
Next when hate is the source of someones motivation then anything is justified in the destruction of that which they hate. We have seen that played out for the last 8 years with rabid dog leftists willing to do anything to "get trump".
Perhaps you should respond to the content of his post, instead of just making stuff up about what you think it means to hate Trump.

Trump is a terrible person. He commits terrible actions. His behaviour towards others is also terrible. Of course he's going to be judged for those actions. Why shouldn't he? You get what you give.
Lastly I'm not the least bit interested in what you think I can get to do.
What I'm telling you is, that's going to get you absolutely no where in a debate. You are in a debate forum.
