Then Hillary deserves a star too..for the same reason

I say let's issue Certificates of Achievement Awards to our local drug dealers, pimps, whores, pedophiles, and rapists 'for exemplary service to mankind beyond the call of duty'. America. Where you can make it no matter who, or even what you are.

I think we had that revolution in 2016. Guess what. You lost.I not sure you really want to have another revolution anytime soon.

Not to worry, dearie. The revolution is already here, coming from within the Trump cabal, as the rats jump ship and turn on each other. Manafort and Cohen will soon flip.

It's not a conservative or liberal issue. It's about an act of vandalism against a symbol of recognition for a man who is the most powerful man in the world, whose acts in that capacity are in violation of human rights.
It doesn't answer my question though.
What if instead of lefties who hate Trump,
it were people who vandalize symbols or recognition for liberals, socialists, gays, etc?
Rock Hudson, Barbara Streisand, Alec Baldwin, Charlie Chaplin, Patrick Stewart, etc, etc?

Don't know. Reality is that those things are not going on. But they are for Trump, because unlike those you mention, he is the President of the US, with the power to impact lives negatively.

The man who vandalized the Trump star did not identify himself in those terms. He just gave his reasons for doing so.

Look. I'm not saying I agree with or condone Pick Axe Boy's actions; I'm just noting that it is a consequence of Trump's actions. I don't recall a similar act against Obama, who was mainly disliked because he was black.

I'm asking for your opinion, not pick boy's.
You'd either approver or not.
No answer?

I neither approve nor disapprove. I can only deal with reality as it is, and the vandalism being discussed is a sign of some underlying condition, a condition not present for other presidents or members of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The question for me is: what is that crucial difference?

Meanwhile, in Rome, nobody vandalized the Duce's obelisk

I wouldn't hold my breath. Even if this were even a feasible scenario, these guys would know that they would be pardoned by Trump as soon as they got fitted for their orange jumpsuits. Clinton and Obama showed how easy this is done.

There is no crucial difference.
If vandalism is considered acceptable for one hated star,
then it tacitly makes vandalism acceptable for all.

No, not really. Trump is a specific target for reasons not applicable to the rest. The issue is not acceptability, but rationale. The reality is that his is the only vandalized star.

He's no longer in power. The Confederate hero monuments stood for a long time too, but they're now coming down, one by one. It's a matter of people waking up to reality. Someday, the people will ask: "Why is this monument to Mussolini still here, when he no longer reflects our values?

You believe in your reasons.
Others will have their reasons to vandalize the stars
of people they see as the enemy of the people.
