I'm sorry, "her penis" is a lie. It's not nuanced or complex, it's a lie.

Yes, biological women don't have penises, and some biological males want to be called she and her. And I'm especially interested why somebody who would quote Robert Hunter on RF, one of the Grateful Dead lyricists, would be so concerned about this issue. For those unfamiliar, here's the verse, and it's from a song called Eyes Of The World:

Grateful Dead culture is extremely tolerant and inclusive. Are you part of that world? If not, I wonder how you came by that line from one of their songs or why you honor it every post as one of your quotes or mottos.

I think I mentioned to you that my wife and I have had a longstanding relationship with that band, seeing dozens of concerts up until Jerry Garcia passed in 1995, and then covering them in an amateur band for another decade. We covered Eyes, and here that is (audio only). I'm assuming that you know and like this song if you quoted it. The verse you cited comes at about the three-minute mark. Unfortunately, I forgot the lyrics mid-verse and you can hear Ricky, our rhythm guitarist, trying to bail me out:

I'm very tolerant towards people in general. But I am intolerant towards those who promote intolerant ideas. I don't think trans activists are doing trans people any favors, and it's intolerant trans activists I'm critical of.

Then why did you start a thread objecting to a journalist choosing to use the phrase "her penis"? There are no "trans activists" involved in that situation, just a court case involving a suspect officially identified with female pronouns in court who has a penis.

It really makes you wonder, doesn't it? Juggalos are also known for being very tolerant, making fun of people for who they are is something you don't do, but there's still those ******** who miss the point.
There was one member here, I don't remember his name but he had Jerry Garcia as his avatar and his sense of white male entitlement, bigotry amd thinking he could save the world by showing all those third world poor people how it's done was everything but typical Deadhead characteristics (he even throws away reusable plastic bags we get/pay for here at the store).

Of course. Did you? It made zero arguments on that actual issues at the core of the issue, just briefly asserted a few purported consequences. It largely obsessed over a handful of examples of people and organisations choosing to reflect gender identify in their language, briefly condemns a single political musician because not all of his politics aligns with those of the writer and ends demanding the right to say what they spent the article saying. What they're actually doing (whether they realise it or not) is the mirror of what they're objecting to, and demanding that everyone uses the language they want.

There are reasonable debates and discussions to be had on this topic, but this isn't even trying to do any of that.

Your biological sex is based on how one is born. There are only two biological sexes, with both needed for procreation. Ask science and not politics. Gender is a choice by the ego as to what ego assumes with help float the ego. Nobody chooses a new gender, unless it flatters them and they expect to get more milage from it.

The real purpose of this gender fad is birth control. The political left has been paranoid about worldbover population for decades and has tried all type of birth control fads including sterilizing people, but the Courts, have refused sterilization. Some of the younger Liberals, with the program, figure out that they could get some people to self sterilize using the transgender fad. If you follow their recipe, all possibility for future reproduction will be removed, and replaced with stuff more for show than go. You can choose to be fixed, if you can it transitioning, and the Courts will not do anything about it, since it was your choice; sort of. However, eing an actor will still be a hard life since most actors struggle playing other characters.

Could I then call anyone who objects to the reverse naming, a hater and force them to say hands can be feet and feet can be hands? This is where we are.

Once you hear the phobia or hater cards being played it is a scam, since too much information can spoil the game. This is why the Left needs censorship and gang memes; psychological conditioning. The Courts need to rule that self sterilization is not something a child can do but rather they need to be an adult like any life changing choice.

That's a worthy goal but seems like a hare-brained approach to achieving it.

Do you also think that population control is the reason liberals champion reproductive freedom like access to contraception and abortion? I suspect that most people who choose either are only looking to control their own lives, not the world's population. Besides, populations with access to both of these typically grow anyway, so if that's the goal, it's not enough.

No, you force anybody to respect you or your preferences. You can only ask that they treat you as you prefer. Unfortunately, you'll encounter a backlash from a group that will be upset that you want to live that way or that you would like to be accepted as well. They just won't do it, even though the way you live doesn't actually affect them, and even though making that transition was obviously important to you for whatever your reasons. They won't give that a second thought because they don't have to and don't want to. Rather than just seeing you as somebody that they don't understand but being fine with that, they will decide that you need to conform to their expectations and make your life worse if you don't. Seriously. There really are people like that.
