The United States voted against a United Nations Security Council draft resolution on Friday that would have condemned Israeli settlements as illegal. The veto by the U.S., a permanent council member, prevented the resolution from being adopted.

The other 14 Security Council members voted in favor of the draft resolution. But the U.S., as one of five permanent council members with the power to block any action by the Security Council, struck it down. The resolution had nearly 120 co-sponsors.

Al-Aqsa Is In My Heart.
Isn't this the message of Israel to the Palestinians and its neighbors? What do you think?

Israel is an entity which is established on injustice and the bloodshed of innocents, violence is its policy and approach. It doesn't understand the language of peace, peace which is built on justice, such an entity will not withstand so much in our region, as I believe that its stupidity and arrogance which makes it act unwisely although it is apparent that the region has been changed and the old techniques wouldn't work any more, like its continuous attacks on Gaza Strip, and on Egypt's borders with Gaza...This unwise step reminds me of Mubarak's reaction on the protests which resulted in his resignation...

When you fight a barbaric enemy, you become more and more like them. Since hamas or whoever has been fighting against a brutal, barbaric state like Israel, they're slowly acting like them. No surprises. Like I said before, Palestine needs a Gandhi to counter Israel's barbarism.

The barbarism actually started when the muslim Brotherhood killed 67 Jewish people of Hebron in 1929 instigated by the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Amin al Husayni, you see its easy to see how it all began, its easy to point fingers, the propaganda, the hate does nothing to remedy the situation.

Again,if you read the Hamas Charter you will see one thing missing, its so overlooked its so obvious Mr Magoo could see it,the Palestinian people is the missing part, the Charter is about an Islamic Waqf not about the Palestinian people,if the whole world believed this way the world would be in turmoil.

Religion has a massive part to play in this situation on both sides more so on the Palestinians but this should be out of the equation IMO because religion has no factual grounding so nodody can be right on that account.

The reality is Children are learning how to throw stones at Soldiers or digging tunnels until they graduate to the Brigades or some other organisation instead of getting an education, some weeks ago a Ship carrying weapons from Iran to Palestine was intercepted instead of things that could be of use to the Palestinian people.

Another reality is the people of Israel are not going to leave, its a fact that Plane Hijackings, suicide bombings,Mortars and Rocket attacks have only had a detrimental effect to the Palestinian people so to carry on with such activities is pointless.

Its only once these realities are acknowledged and the Palestinian people have some unity without an unrealistic agenda that any progress can be made IMO.

As long as Israel is an apartheid state and commits genocide, uses chemical weapons against civilians, commits war crimes etc. etc. (as verified by both UN human rights and Amnesty International), they're giving a lot of excuses for hamas and the like to thrive.

If they are an apartheid state why would Israel have Arab Muslims in their administration and if you are going to use words like genocide maybe you should look up its meaning,as for attacks on civilians what were Hamas aiming at last week,it takes two to Tango and the propaganda in your post will solve nothing.

Though I can already see the uselessness in doing this, I feel I must submit it just so people will know about it, with regards to the Israel/Palestine conflict.

Even a Palestinian humanitarian organization condemns Hamas' willingness to spill innocent blood - New York Daily News

Even a Palestinian humanitarian organization condemns Hamas' willingness to spill innocent blood

Hamas is a terrorist organization that uses the Palestinian people as pawns in its bloody game.
Who says so? Not just Israel. Not just the United States. A Palestinian humanitarian organization also says so.
The Palestinian Center for Human Rights, which has condemned no shortage of Israeli actions, investigated rocket explosions in Gaza - including one that wounded a 22-year-old woman and her 7-month-old.
The group discovered that locally produced armaments were to blame. They had exploded in storage facilities where they were kept or in factories where they were made - all far too close to innocent Palestinians.
The Hamas government, says the report, "should take measures to protect Palestinians and their property." It condemns the fact that "members of the Palestinian resistance continue to store explosives or to treat such explosives in locations close to populated areas," saying, "this poses a major threat to the lives of the Palestinian civilians."

UN and Amnesty International have condemned Israel on human rights issues, called it an apartheid state, accused it of committing war crimes, and so on. So who am I going to believe - you or the UN?

For the last time, hamas is bad. But Israel, being a barbaric regime, is the root of the problem, since they give organizations like hamas a very good excuse to thrive.

Well, I certainly would not be inclined to believe much coming out of the UN these days. Are it's pronouncements meaningful or even relevant anymore?

Find out for yourself, the UN has been a Political tool for a long time now as can be seen by the countries that use the veto button, for example the US has chosen to use the veto recently and the UN isn't going to solve anything as its impotent, they are still voting on who is making the Tea from 1998.

Could also argue it the other way.

You won't believe because it goes against your view that hamas alone is the problem, and Israel is incapable of doing anything wrong.

How many have condemned hamas in this thread. Everyone.

How many have condemned Israel? Not one.

How many have made excuses for Israel's war crimes. Almost everyone.

And yet these people, with all their bias, wonder why there's no peace over there.

For some reason I want to act like a little kid and tell you, "If you love Hamas so much, why don't you go marry them."
BUT seeing as how I must be adult about it..."If you love Hamas so much, why don't you go marry them."

Or have you already???:nightcraw:

Addressing the OP,
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is not black and white as many make it out to be. BOTH sides has committed atrocities. While I dislike what Israel is currently doing (ie illegal settlements), I am also sick of people portraying Israel and Israelis as bloodthirsty and inhumane. There are always two sides to a story, and it's unhealthy and uninformative to listen to only one side.

Haven't you

Is firing an anti Tank weapon into a School Bus an excuse?

No,i don't wonder at all,i do wonder what kind of mindset thought up the Hamas Charter, actually i do but thats another story,Hamas like the PLO and Fatah are an epic fail as representative of their people, the proof is in history which i suggest yo seek out.
