Is having sex without a relationship aka a one time thing a Morally wrong thing and if so why ?

I know that some may be offended by this sexual question but a lot of people have sex without a relationship with a stranger and I am wondering what this would mean morally if it means anything morally.
If it harms anyone, or has a strong potential to harm someone, then it is morally wrong, IMO.

I am mostly talking about fornication buddys and one night stands. Not an actual intimate emotional relationship.
So, a sex relationship.

A couple years ago, I would've mostly shrugged my shoulders at it. Unfortunately, since that time the basic human rights of women have been shattered in my country, which very significantly complicates matters. It can no longer just be about the sex when women are basically enslaved to the state if they become pregnant. It's almost as if goverments should stay the flip out of sexual relationships.

Yes, for religious folks, sex out of marriage is wrong
Not all religious folks. I actually have a book on the sacred erotic path and there's no assumption in the book that the person is monogamous. In fact i have two books on sexuality and witchcraft...ill post a photo of both but since the main forum is pg13 imma say any minors do not read either book until you are older im just posting a photo of both books in case anyone thats an adult would like to read about sexuality and how it can be viewed by religious folk who dont have a negative view of sex outside of marriage...much of the stuff in said books is not for children to read.

Edit: mods I hope its ok to post a photo of said books with a warning that children shouldnt read them being the forum is pg13 if not feel free to remove them.

Actually no, the greening of the forest has, as usual, been wonderful to see, i adore this time of year.
I was quoting a song -- the Mommas and the Papas -- Cass Elliot, Michelle Phillips, and the guys. . .California Dreaming.

You're probably too young to know it..........LOL -- it's okay.

Yes i realised, too young yes, but i was raised on late 60s early 70s music. My dad had an 8 track in his tractor and that was one of the album's i learned to drive with ;-)

Nothing my eye, Something for sure
To my mind sex is responsibility, care, trust and fidelity with your partner. You can have all that in a one time encounter growing up, but blindly going about it is an extremely risky roll of the dice. I think the ultimate aim of sex is a healthy loyalty in a healthy relationship, and reproduction. If it's just vanity, and an power and ego trip then it's just lust in the dust; an empty experience.

Any kind of relations without substance are empty experiences.

I'd personally rather be in a true love relationship instead of all those false loves. Many people will experiment with unfulfilling one nighters, to some degree it's just nature playing out its cards. It's best to know the difference between what endures and what is just passing fancy.

I don't consider sex with a stranger immoral for me, and as long as one is law-abiding, I don't care what others do. Sex with a stranger would be unwise for me even if my wife gave me permission, but that is not the same as immoral.

What is immoral in my estimation, however, is to try to make people feel guilty about legal, consensual sex, including gay sex, pornography and masturbation.

I never heard of the artist and im not calling @ChristineM old I dont know if she'd find that rude or not but that's not what the sentence was saying anyway. @Spice is older meaning likely grew up with different music then Christine and the sentence says she may have been too young to have heard that song. Depending on when the artist made music it seemed it was likely a possibility.

What would be an example of harming someone in this case ?
-- one or both are in a committed relationship with another (even without it becoming known, it damages); one truly expects to build a committed relationship out of the intimate encounter; one or both very possibly have an active STD and chose to ignore the possibly; one or both have a kiss-and-tell mentality that always has the potential to get out of hand; one or both would be embarrassed to admit the encounter; you have a perfectly good platonic, sincere friendship that will never be the same afterwards. . .for a few. LOL

I cant remember who said it but there was a saying that whoever stops learning is old no matter how young they are and whoever keeps learning is young no matter how old they are. Its now going to drive me mad trying to remember who said that and the exact quote

I believe it was Henry Ford

Edit, Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.
