Male Gay Characteristics

Indeed. Easiest, I think, to blunder through the emotional and sexual minefields of life, blissfully unaware of all the snares, and ignoring the outrage thus provoked.

Some might call this an invitation to be emotionally stunted, by I just call it being English.
I'm very English then. On various occasions my wife has told me something like "she was hitting on you" and I'm like "was she?!"..."obviously"...."oh, ok...."

The British society is very gay-friendly.
Strangely the most homophobic people in my country are not men. Absolutely not. Because men couldn't care less if other men are gay.
The most homophobic people in Italy are women.
Because they cannot tolerate that in their husband or partner there is even the slightest speck of bisexuality.
It's a vaginocentric vision of the world: in their brain man needs to be into vagina exclusively, because woman feels like she is at the center of the male universe.
For instance, I have seen marriages end because of homosexual affairs.
In Sicily I have never seen marriages terminate because the husband slept with another woman.
It is more reasonable now in the UK, and not that it matters, but this was in the 1970s and just a bad observation by her I think. My friend and I had the same interest in music so often went together to see various groups then.

There is a proverb: Still waters run deep.

I mean...look at the Italian males, they play the role of the tombeurs de femmes, but actually they are really disappointing sexually.

That's some of the dumbest **** that I've ever heard; they were deceived and betrayed either way, regardless.
No...just homophobic cultural schemes.
A womanizer who cheats on his wife with a pretty woman is better than a bisexual who cheats on her with a man.

No what? What does "homophobic cultural schemes" that even mean?
A womanizer who cheats on his wife with a pretty woman is better than a bisexual who cheats on her with a man.
Do you think so? Why? Explain the logic. What about men who cheat on their wife with a transwoman vs a cis woman? Is there a perceived difference there as well?

I speak of facts.
Berlusconi cheated on his wife and slept with the most beautiful escorts in Italy...and people loved him.
This governor was forced to resign because of some clandestine encounter with not a ciswoman: Lazio governor Marrazzo resigns

Not just me then! No idea why at all?
My situation was of course different, but Old Me being full of denial and hypermasculine was occasionally thought to be gay, with it typically being women who said that.
No one ever gave me any specific reasons, but something my brother said suggests a part of the reason was not treating or looking at women like walking sex objects. I was also known for being emotional, and a lot of female friends (which wasn't really unusual to me as my brother did as well).
My brother did something to send gay vibes, but in his case it wasn't women who's gaydars wents off but gays, lol.

Could be your fashion sense...
Could be. I know I have a terrible fashion sense. I worked in my father's furniture store for a while and I have to admit that I was not the bast at picking out fabrics for sofas and chairs. I could tell people and explain what to look for a in a top quality sofa or chair, but could I make them look good? I do not think so. We had a gay customer, His job was wallpaper hanging. He ordered a sofa with what I thought was a "meh" fabric. It was rather plain. But when the sofa came in I was amazed at how good it looked on that sofa. I had to admit that I was jealous of that talent. Me, if I did not know better, would probably go out with a plaid shirt and striped pants.

Ooooh yes, me too. My wife sometimes has to confiscate my most comfortable trousers and T-Shirts, because she says they are rags and not fit for the public... I would just keep wearing them. And sometimes I find things in nice colors and she protests "I don't care if you like that color - it does not like you"

Yes, isn't it lovely being treated like a child.

I don't care if my husband wears rags... as long as they're not striped and checked rags.

My sister once told my husband "she's talking to you like you're a child!" Instead of being upset with me, he disgustedly told her "I like when she talks to me like that!"

And don't Hawaiian shirts go with everything? Actually my favorite shirt is not "Hawaiian" it is a similar idea but just very bright primary colors. No pastels.
