Muslim Brotherhood Statement Denouncing UN Women Declaration for Violating Sharia Principles

Some of those statistics look pretty alarming, particularly ones about street children.

From a quick Google search to see what Egyptian newspapers have recently reported about this issue, it seems that it's been brought up as one of the problems that the (next) parliament should deal with when they take charge. Hopefully they'll do something about it, though I'm not really holding my breath (considering all the other issues and unrest in the country at the moment).

Yes we are equal woman = men ,

Men can show their breasts and woman should show their breasts.

i'll show a man showing his breast, then i want the smart ones her to challenge me and the forum rules and equate woman to men,if you couldn't then shame on you.

Why only men can show their breasts, show me how free are you and post a woman showing her breast.

In an ideal world, Women should be allowed to get their baps out like Men. Sadly though, we don't live in an ideal World. However, given that RF is an international forum, it's probably against the rules for fear of offending people from much more conservative countries - and not because Men and Women are unequal.

So i can summarize it in few words

Each country is free to make its own laws and no one force any one to visit one country which he/she think of it to be unsafe.

True.

Yet I can still protest the conditions that women in the Congo live in as some of the most dangerous in the world, and that the culture should change drastically because of it.

I can also protest FGM, shooting girls in the head for wanting an education, rape culture, honor-killing, sex-trafficking, and throwing acid in girls faces. I don't have to travel to unsafe areas to combat atrocities that occur there. I can support the various movements that seek to end laws, regulations, and cultural traditions that ignore human rights.

That's pretty much how I see it. But that doesn't mean we can't bicker on internet forums ;)

Just curious, FearGod: Why do your posts in this thread seem to be so focused on overly sexualized notions of what gender equality entails rather than the core issue of oppressed women in many countries? Does whether or not young women are able to wear bikinis in any given country matter more than whether they're able to have equal opportunities in education, autonomy, and safety?

Because of rule # 4 and the like.

4. Granting equal rights to homosexuals, and providing protection and respect for prostitutes.

Whatever protest causes the most change, or brings the most attention to human rights abuses. If it means walking naked in public, I support it.

Mostly, however, I look to petitions, letter-writing to government officials and cultural leaders, and social media campaigns nowadays to get things moving the the better directions.

Why do you always bring up prostitution as your reason to maintain the status quo?

Do you believe homosexuals and prostitutes should not be protected from getting beaten or killed?

Why shouldn't those happen?

If prostitutes get protected and respected, that means their lot in life won't be so bad anymore, right?

That didn't answer my question. Prostitutes exist. Should they be protected from getting beaten or killed? Yes or no?

Should be prevented, women shouldn't be used just for men's sexual desires.

Her body is slaved for men's sexual desires, man through money over her head and woman work as a slave for the pimps.

We should protect woman from prostitution and if prostitution is already existed then i am with protecting them while finding a solution to let them free from prostitution.

We're not talking about trafficking or pimps.

We're talking about women who CHOOSE, 100% of their own free will, to sell sexual favors to men (and sometimes women). Not necessarily because of bad times, but because they want to.

in order to protect and respect the prostitutes then prostitution should be legalized and that where i disagree.

So they should just be ignored?

'Cause, hate to break it to you, but the oldest profession in the world (that means it's probably older than our species), isn't going anywhere ever. We're going to be dealing with it for as long as our species exists.

Prostitution is a fact of life. Always has been, always will be. They don't call it the world's oldest profession for nothing.

This being the case, you don't think efforts should be made to help protect women who end up being prostitutes (for whatever reason)? You don't think every human being deserves basic respect?

Silly - Prostitution (and rape) only exists in filthy non-muslim Kuffar societies. :slap:
