Prospective President Kamala Harris

Yes, a big problem. Every time Trump opened his mouth he told a lie. And not just little lies, big significant dangerous lies. That is a huge problem.

Trump lies. People on the right deny it.
Biden's mentality is poor. People on the left deny it.

What the **** is wrong with everyone. Are youns blind and deaf?

Get off excuses and get into reality.

Try to keep up. Biden is not running anymore.

Really? When did he drop out?
Harris is most likely going to be the Democratic nominee.
She will be their nominee.
1. She is the current VP
2. The current pres endorsed her
3. There are near $200 million of funds in the Biden/Harris -- Harris/.... campaign. A new pick wouldn't be able to touch that. They would have to start from scratch.
4. They think she is their best chance to beat Trump
5. They would commit political suicide by not picking her.
6. She is a black female and Asian American(their tagline, not mine). That gives them sway in three different groups of voters.

Race doesn't matter in that anyone from any race is capable of being a good American leader.

Race does matter because of the history of abuse people in minority groups based on things like skin color have suffered and the lack of diversity in American politics.

So, race doesn't matter because there's nothing about this concept of "race" that should make any difference, but it does matter because American history and modern sentiments have made "race" a factor that needs consideration in order to avoid making the American promise of liberty and justice for all an empty one.

American history and the "one drop rule" that lingers to this day has a flip side: that racists whites think they have the right to tell people of color how to perceive themselves, their families, and their history.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.

And that's exactly why I am not planning on voting for either one, or Harris.

At this point and time in the race she is their best chance.
They admitted Biden would blow it in Nov and further down the road for dems in midterms(see the dems plan ahead lol)
I agree, but just let the shine wear off her a little. She's a mess and very unlikeable.

That's right, ladies and gentlemen. The question was actually posed about 35 minutes ago by someone who apparently missed, or somehow forgot, the recent news that has dominated the headlines. The other possibility, of course, is that @We Never Know actually never knew.

Luckily Kamala Harris is more than qualified and ready to work twice as hard for half as much backwards and in high heels. As she's always done. With decades of experience facing racism and misogyny. And does she look worried? The Republicans sure do. She's disciplined and capable. Everything Trump is not.

Discussing the reasons you may or may not vote for one candidate or another is fine. Arguments in favour or against one candidate or another should focus on specific policy proposals, not race and gender. It's ugly and will backfire spectacularly. The extreme far right ticket is making themselves clear. You know what you're getting.

If people still aren't sure...maybe take advantage of the fact it's a secret ballot.

Yes, and sadly Biden's failure in that debate was that when Trump lied he was too tired to call him out for it. He got his own points out, but people are all too often convinced by how one says something than what one says. If one read the transcript Biden still massacred Trump, but if you heard it Biden sounded tired and defeated too often. In politics sadly perception is reality at times.

Oh, I wasn't disputing that, but Hillary Clinton has already won the popular vote in a presidential race. Kamala Harris probably will win the popular vote as well. The more interesting question now is whether that will translate into an electoral college victory or just be another near miss. I just don't think it is that big of a deal for a woman to be elected president anymore. Lots of countries have women leaders, and Harris has already proven that Americans are ready for a woman president, because the Biden-Harris ticket beat Trump handily in the 2020 general election in both the popular and electoral counts. So people voted with the knowledge that she could become president overnight. The question now is whether there are enough voters in the right states to put her over the top again. Or maybe those states will prefer to give J.D. Vance a chance to become president overnight.
When I used to wonder how Golda Meir could be a national leader, but America still treated women as "tolerable," I could never have imagined that when we made it, it would be up against the likes of this:

I wonder if the GOP parody flag is manufactured in the USA?

People are so hung up on the race and gender issues, but Obama won two terms despite his race. Hillary Clinton won the popular vote in 2016 despite her gender. Kamala Harris won as the VP in 2020 despite her gender. If Democrats keep talking about how difficult it is for a mixed race woman to win, and Republicans keep playing the gender and race cards, then that's the stupidest thing Democrats can do. So I'm pretty sure everyone (Democrats, Republicans, talking heads) will continue to focus on the two irrelevant factors of gender and race in Harris's background.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump continues to ramble incoherently at campaign rallies, the press reports it, and nobody bats an eye. He gets a pass, because that is Trump being Trump. At almost every rally, he brings up the shark story and Hannibal Lecter. If Joe Biden was too senile to run, what makes this guy so much better?

Why is Donald Trump so obsessed with Hannibal Lecter?

And he still confuses Kamala Harris with Nikki Haley, forgets words, and always goes on about Hannibal Lecter:

Watch: Trump Fumbles Big-Time Trying to Attack Kamala Harris

...“And you know, they’re talking about, he was talking about, she was talking about re—lifting the retirement age,” Trump said. Only, that policy is not part of Harris’s platform. It was a part of Haley’s, though...

...
The former president worked his way through a few other strange moments onstage Wednesday. At one point, he appeared to forget the word “abortion,” and pivoted to audience participation.

“She’s also a total radical on a word called im-bo—you know this right? A word called what? Abortion,” Trump said.

...“You know they go crazy when I say ‘the late great Hannibal Lecter.’ They say, ‘Why would he mention Hannibal Lecter, he must be cognitively in trouble,’” Trump said. “No. These are real stories. Hannibal Lecter from Silence of the Lamb.

Okay, you do not like her. Can you tell me why? And what parts of the Democratic platform do you disagree with? If it is just abortion remember that no one is forcing you to have one. And the Bible is not an anti-abortion source. It is an anti-sex source.
