What basis do you have for drawing the line at 14?

The book was designed for children on the cusp and beginning puberty. I think that you would need some reasoning to suggest that the material isn’t appropriate. I understand that you feel it is not appropriate. And, if you have your own children, then they may be sufficient reason for you to conclude that your own children shouldn’t read that book. It is not, even then, sufficient for you to override professional opinions to allow other children access to that book. Do you have any reasoning beyond your feeling that it is inappropriate?
And it has been reported that children are going into puberty at younger ages, so will be naturally curious and feeling urges at younger ages. They might not be capable of understanding the issues but like any other animal they will naturally seek to satisfy the urges. And then add the lack of reproductive care on top of that.

These people don't understand that their opinions are not reality. They are only their opinions about reality, and they're misinformed opinions, at that. But there's no telling them anything. They are "true believers" which means they truly believe their opinions are the absolutely real truth. And they aren't going to listen to anyone that dares to suggest otherwise.

What can we do about this kind of willful, intractable ignorance? I have no answer.

I think that that pastor had a point.
But there was no chance of dialogue. The school board just avoided dialogue.

When the pastor spoke and showed the "pornographic pictures", I wonder if there were any children present at the meeting?

I have been looking, I have not found any "pornographic pictures". My link may not work. But if one searches for the book by name one will run across a PDF or two of it.

The point sailed over your head. The pastor called the book "pornographic." It is not even close to being pornographic. He praised the Bible. According to his own standards the Bible is incredibly pornographic so he is being hypocritical when he praises the Bible and condemns that textbook.
The Bible is graphic, but it’s not pornographic. There is a huge difference between the Bible example you gave and the book in the video.

The verse in Ezekiel (23:20) which you highlighted, in context, is part of a passage spanning a few chapters which
first) are symbolically representing the nation of Israel,
secondly) addressing Israel’s spiritual idolatry/prostitution,
thirdly) use language to portray and condemn the sinfulness of the people lusted or followed after idols while also committing horrendous crimes, bloodshed, and immoral behavior ( Ezekiel 22:6-11; 23:30-31, 37-39).
and fourth) the Bible does not contain pictures.

The Bible was addressing and rebuking the wicked, perverse idolatrous behavior of the nation of Israel at the time.
On the other hand, the book in the video available to kids in the school clearly promotes personal sexual behavior to the kids, with the intention of arousing their interest using graphic pictures and pornographic sexual details.

I tend to agree with the man about "if you don't want to hear it".

Watch the 3 1/2 minute video then give your thoughts

Just a few questions: does the book describe anything that is not a part of human life today? Does the book talk about anything that any of us might find ourselves immersed in -- including finally acknowledging that we don't actually want what that speaker wants?

Last question: what is the "correct time" to teach someone about something that they might discover about themselves at any time during their life?

Read my post again. It was rather simple.

I would kneel in front of this courageous parent.

I am really, really, really disgusted by the person who wanted to interrupt him.

He is not allowed to read it out loud, but it's okay for a prepubescent to read it?
How old were you when you saw your first naked human being? Were you ever, for example, allowed to look down at yourself while in the tub -- or did your parents blindfold you so you wouldn't know what your body looked like? Have any siblings? Ever see them nude? Did you ever go to gym class and take a shower with others after?

THERE IS NO RATIONAL EXCUSE FOR BEING TERRIFIED OF A NAKED HUMAN BODY!!!!

Even in a wheelchair!

Did they not want to hear it because of the content -- or because of his presentation of it? This is what demagogues do -- and they often do it very well, as they try to make you feel their revulsion for what you know is perfectly natural.

What would you tell your child if, after you'd had that first "talk" about where babies come from, and the child asked you, "can crippled people do that?" Let me remind you, for example, of Stephen Hawking, who had to explain to his potential girlfriend that what was failing to drive some of his members was a whole different system from what drove that other "member."

I'll never be a father, but if I were, I'd want to teach my children truth. Not Santa Claus and Tooth Fairy, but the truth of the world they will live their entire lives in.

You missed the point. The book is not pornographic either. In fact it is less pornographic than the Bible. And appears to have better morals too.
