why should we be OK with a Lie? are Europeans living in reservation camps? after spending centuries under Ottoman flag, did they forget their own language? did they forget who they are? if Ottoman was anything like Western, none of the people could remember their roots, their religion, their language...etc everything that gives one an identity, they would be all long gone in centuries, of course in case they survived -considering what happened to Natives of America.

To Muslims there is no bloody history. The Islamic conquests were peaceful affairs or totally in self defence, or to liberate people. Its Ahistory a total rewrite of everything from the spread out of Arabia to slavery to Andalusia a golden age for Islam but no mention of hundreds of years of struggle in the reconquista,you will find no violence in the history of Islamic empire. Its a religion of Peace after all.

Ottomans were the last of the Islamic imperialists Lava , there are numerous countries that are now have Arab language and customs and religion due to being assimilated into Arab Islamic empires.

Of course Lava I agree but its my experience that many Muslims have rewritten history and dont even recognise the vast tract of the earth conquered and administered by Islamic empires.

we also have Arabic and Persian words in our language as well as we have French words but this kind of exchange does not really kill who you are. in case Ottoman wanted to destroy Greece for instance, they could not survive. they spent like 400 years and IMO it is long enough to make surethey forget their own ID. but our kitchen is very alike, so what? we shared a time together and we have similarities but they are still Christians, they still speak Greek and they are still Greek people. they still have their 500 years old churches in their nations as well as they have Ottoman bridges. why would they have 500 year old church after spending centuries with Ottoman, can you tell? i mean, if they were really assimilated as you suggest...

In many cases, they did. Since Christians and Jews were oppressed under the Ottoman Empire, many converted and lost both their language and religious identity.
Like what happened to most of the Egyptians after the Muslim invasion.

any power on Earth, dear Kai would conquer. today the greatest power is USA and they are trying to control the other side of the world across the ocean. what matter is how you do it, why you do it and the results of their act, of course. you may not find one example from Ottoman history about any nation that ruined like Iraq. if USA sincerely wanted to bring Iraq freedomi they sure had power and chance to do it. after Saddam everyone welcomed them as heros. but look what happened. now Iraqis see USA only want to steal their future. not just oil, they even stole books from Bagdat library. matter of fact that was one the first thing they did in Iraq. Ottoman never stole from others.
