SOS message to Christian women and men: Do you accept the stoning of women for reasons of adultery

The most interesting posting is this one --- the stoning of raped women was barbaric "even" 3 milleniums ago

For those of you who believe in this scripture, well, your belief is radical "now" and "3 milleniums" ago

Who would accept your belief --- neaderthals ?

Christ himself did not advocate that, instead quite the opposite, I would suggest it is unacceptable in any way, shape or form - as much as anything else how can it ever be right to harm someone in such an atrocious way.

Isn't that a distortion- 'raped women'?

According to Duet. you must be right. I mean, if she does not scream loud enough for help, she must not be a rape victim....

Makes sense.

I hope you're kidding

Prove it.

Prove what? That your kidding? One can only hope.

That you hope as you indicate.

Prove something.

Lets see, so far you have used No True Scotsman and Red Herring.
How many more Logical Fallacies are you going to pull out of you sleeve to avoid actual debate?

Back to the topic at hand....

Deuteronomy 22:23-24 If a man happens to meet in a town a virgin pledged to be married and he sleeps with her, you shall take both of them to the gate of that town and stone them to death—the girl because she was in a town and did not scream for help, and the man because he violated another man's wife. You must purge the evil from among you.
25
But if out in the country a man happens to meet a girl pledged to be married and rapes her, only the man who has done this shall die. 26 Do nothing to the girl; she has committed no sin deserving death. This case is like that of someone who attacks and murders his neighbor, 27 for the man found the girl out in the country, and though the betrothed girl screamed, there was no one to rescue her.

Is this not putting the onus on the victim? Assuming that if she did not scream loudly enough for help while in town, she must have been willing? And therefore worthy of death?

Unless she had bronchitis, it's a very reasonable assumption.

Among many "Rape Myths", the following apply...

Myth: If a person doesn't "fight back" she/he wasn't really raped.
FACT Rape is potentially life-threatening. Whatever a person does to survive the assault is the appropriate action.

Myth: No woman or man can be raped against her or his will. Any person could prevent rape if he or she really wanted to.
FACT In 1991, 14% of the rapes reported to the Orange County Rape Crisis Center involved the use of a weapon. 74% involved physical force and/or threats of force. Women are often physically weaker than men and are not taught to defend themselves or to be physically aggressive. Furthermore, some women are not willing to hurt another person, especially if the offender is someone they know.

Myth: You cannot be assaulted against your will.
FACT Assailants overpower their victims with the threat of violence or with actual violence. Especially in cases of acquaintance rape or incest, an assailant often uses the victim's trust in him to isolate her.

Myth: A person who has really been assaulted will be hysterical.

FACT: Survivors exhibit a spectrum of emotional responses to assault: calm, hysteria, laughter, anger, apathy, shock. Each survivor copes with the trauma of the assault in a different way.

List of RAPE MYTHS, Sociology of Rape

So, no, assuming a victim who does not scream loudly enough is willing is NOT a a reasonable assumption.
