I remember I was pretty scared of it when I first saw it. I think there was a remake made in the 80s. It's the kind of movie I can only really watch once. Not that it was a bad movie, but just not in the mood to see it again. It was the same with Arachnophobia.

I saw it when I was a kid. Both the original and the comedy horror sequel, Beware! The Blob from 1972. Both of them scared me as a kid but I liked them. Especially the original.
There is a remake from 1988 that I haven't seen.
