had a car roll in...literally, it wouldn't start.... the owner, and electrical engineer had bypassed the brain of the car with 3 gauge wire.... you could have made coat hangers out of the stuff....we told him the car needed to have the brain replaced, he told us we were wrong and that his car was fine..... we pushed it out and a few seconds later he came back in to ask if he could borrow a jack to kick the car off of to get it to start..... we said no.... apparently he destroyed the jack his car came with by kicking the car off of it to start it. Last I saw of him was him running along side his car, going down a small hill and jumping in to try anf get it started
Some people like to advertise their stupidity apparently.

You'd think, but this is Missouri. Hard to say if there was any logic to the naming.

I used to swim in the river at a place called Buckner's Bottom. I'm assuming that was named after the local land owner of the bottomland property and not after a specific Buckner's anatomy.

I have some bugs but I haven't got around to fixing the pictures yet. Nothing interesting, I missed getting shots of the two interesting ones I saw.

well there is a Horseheads NY..... i was never brave enough to find out WHY it got that name

I've heard of Horseheads, having lived in upstate NY myself. I heard a story that, at some point during the American Revolution, a British unit was stuck there for the winter and had to eat their horses - except for the heads, which were just left in a heap. So, they decided to call the place Horseheads.

Bunch of teeth worked on, a bunch more to go...

You think he'd learn to brush his teeth. Nope.
Dental costs can be crippling. I must have had five dentists that didn't do good work....I've only had two that did good work. Work that lasted most of my life....They were expensive, however.

I brought up to him today that he still has insurance; he may lose that eventually. Get the work done now, and then keep up on it...

I've gotta schedule to get two fillings... going to be 600 out of pocket. I've been procrastinating...

I made the mistake of using a cheap dentist. She claimed her office was set up to charge inexpensive dentistry to people who lived in a lower-middle-class neighborhood....I grew up there. So even though I had moved I chose to use her. I started to argue with her during visits. She wasn't making sense diagnosing some problems she said I had. She wanted me to see another dentist to pull teeth as she had a bad arm and could not pull teeth....She told me the ex-rays indicated an abcess. I said they didn't....So I go to the referred dentist, he agrees with me and I have a cavity.....He didn't repair cavities...so.....a third dentist was required....
