It's not that the trend is being "pushed on kids," it's that kids now have more freedom to express themselves and be honest about who they are, and society is more open to accepting that and not treating them like they're just delusional (or worse, evil). If an adult wants to transition and attempt altering their physical body with hormones and surgeries that is their choice. I really don’t expect non-believers to care or consider what God thinks. I am concerned about the trend and movement being pushed on kids.
Or rather they don't care or consider what those who presume to speak on god's behalf think. One can believe in a god while rejecting self appointed and self serving middlemen.I really don’t expect non-believers to care or consider what God thinks.
Previously to hormones or surgery why did you have problems or distress? I am sincerely interested in understanding, but if you prefer not to answer that, it’s uncomfortable or none of my business, that’s okay.I use strong hormones and had a breast reduction surgery, because not doing it would cause more problems and distress. You only know what's healthy or helpful for yourself, not them.
Big boobs, shoulder pain, body didn't feel the right size, higher risk for breast cancer which runs in my family, prevented me from doing swim team which I really wanted to do. Self esteem issues from being so big.Previously to hormones or surgery why did you have problems or distress? From what I’ve read and heard it seems like it’s being pushed. How can Kindergartners not feel confused or pressured when they are asked by teachers or read books about deciding if they’re a boy or girl? It's not that the trend is being "pushed on kids," it's that kids now have more freedom to express themselves and be honest about who they are, and society is more open to accepting that and not treating them like they're just delusional (or worse, evil).
Thank you for sharing your experiences. Are you transgender?Big boobs, shoulder pain, body didn't feel the right size, higher risk for breast cancer which runs in my family, prevented me from doing swim team which I really wanted to do. Self esteem issues from being so big.
Hormones, lots of physical and psychological distress from irregular and severe menstrual cycles. It plays into ADHD too, since estrogen impacts mood, memory and focus. Having high androgen hormones and not high enough estrogen hormones also impacts digestive stuff like insulin response and water retention.
I know you're going to say 'oh sounds like a lot of physical symptoms,' but I want you to understand that the psychological symptoms (which are also physical symptoms just not ones you can see) were just as severe and relevent impacts on my health.
I think we need to stop pretending that we know what gender an infant is. List the chromosomal sex and let the kid figure it out later. So we’re all going to get brain scans to tell us our gender? That’s the future in your eyes?

How does the kid figure it out? By making an appointment to get a brain scan? Since you said the brain determines gender.I think we need to stop pretending that we know what gender an infant is. List the chromosomal sex and let the kid figure it out later.
Nope. Might be intersex, but not trans.Thank you for sharing your experiences. Are you transgender?
I just think it confuses kids to imply it’s a choice whether they are a boy or girl and pressures them. It’s no different than telling kids they can choose their eye color when they already have brown eyes.Pretty easy: "hey are you are a boy or a girl? Oh you're a girl? Cool!"
Also they don't "decide if they're a boy or girl."
So you aren’t using hormones or didn’t have breast reduction surgery to transition to another gender or alter your body from female to male. What exactly is intersex?Nope. Might be intersex, but not trans.
No, you have it wrong. Kids aren’t confused. They have an inerrant, innate sense of their neurological makers. At least that’s what I gather from this thread.I just think it confuses kids to imply it’s a choice whether they are a boy or girl and pressures them. It’s no different than telling kids they can choose their eye color when they already have brown eyes.
Trans people don't choose to be trans. It'd be like saying you're choosing a food sensitivity, and then someone else saying 'but that food is healthy!' Gender isn't a physical trait, sex is, but even that isn't cut and dry.I just think it confuses kids to imply it’s a choice whether they are a boy or girl and pressures them. It’s no different than telling kids they can choose their eye color when they already have brown eyes.
No, I had hormones and a breast reduction to make my body align with my brain, which I identify as female. So you aren’t using hormones or didn’t have breast reduction surgery to transition to another gender or alter your body from female to male. What exactly is intersex?
The brain is also part of your body? The biological reality is that they had an iOS installed on a PC, so to speak. So are you saying the human body is irrelevant and biological reality is not reality?
Bull. Y’all don’t want to lose to a girl.not having separate male and female categories would have extreme undesirable affects on women.
So I’ve heard and read. Yet, my view still is that kids who are being encouraged to disregard their anatomy and choose their gender based on their feelings, are being manipulated, pressured, and confused. No, you have it wrong. Kids aren’t confused. They have an inerrant, innate sense of their neurological makers. At least that’s what I gather from this thread.
There is no brain scan for gender. As I said earlier it's likely way more complicated than that. Just like autism is a neurological disorder but you can't diagnose it with brain scans either. How does the kid figure it out? By making an appointment to get a brain scan? Since you said the brain determines gender.
Can you explain what you’re saying or your point further? The brain is also part of your body? The biological reality is that they had an iOS installed on a PC, so to speak.
