If an adult wants to transition and attempt altering their physical body with hormones and surgeries that is their choice. I really don’t expect non-believers to care or consider what God thinks. I am concerned about the trend and movement being pushed on kids.
It's not that the trend is being "pushed on kids," it's that kids now have more freedom to express themselves and be honest about who they are, and society is more open to accepting that and not treating them like they're just delusional (or worse, evil).

I use strong hormones and had a breast reduction surgery, because not doing it would cause more problems and distress. You only know what's healthy or helpful for yourself, not them.
Previously to hormones or surgery why did you have problems or distress? I am sincerely interested in understanding, but if you prefer not to answer that, it’s uncomfortable or none of my business, that’s okay.

Big boobs, shoulder pain, body didn't feel the right size, higher risk for breast cancer which runs in my family, prevented me from doing swim team which I really wanted to do. Self esteem issues from being so big.

Hormones, lots of physical and psychological distress from irregular and severe menstrual cycles. It plays into ADHD too, since estrogen impacts mood, memory and focus. Having high androgen hormones and not high enough estrogen hormones also impacts digestive stuff like insulin response and water retention.

I know you're going to say 'oh sounds like a lot of physical symptoms,' but I want you to understand that the psychological symptoms (which are also physical symptoms just not ones you can see) were just as severe and relevent impacts on my health.

From what I’ve read and heard it seems like it’s being pushed. How can Kindergartners not feel confused or pressured when they are asked by teachers or read books about deciding if they’re a boy or girl?

Thank you for sharing your experiences. Are you transgender?

Pretty easy: "hey are you are a boy or a girl? Oh you're a girl? Cool!"

Also they don't "decide if they're a boy or girl."
I just think it confuses kids to imply it’s a choice whether they are a boy or girl and pressures them. It’s no different than telling kids they can choose their eye color when they already have brown eyes.

No, you have it wrong. Kids aren’t confused. They have an inerrant, innate sense of their neurological makers. At least that’s what I gather from this thread.

Trans people don't choose to be trans. It'd be like saying you're choosing a food sensitivity, and then someone else saying 'but that food is healthy!' Gender isn't a physical trait, sex is, but even that isn't cut and dry.

So you aren’t using hormones or didn’t have breast reduction surgery to transition to another gender or alter your body from female to male. What exactly is intersex?
No, I had hormones and a breast reduction to make my body align with my brain, which I identify as female.

Intersex is a spectrum of differentiated sex characteristics outside the norm. Sometimes their chromosomes don't match their genitalia, sometimes their genitals are born or develope over time ambiguously, sometimes its because their body won't absorb sex hormones like estrogen or testosterone, or produce too much.

Basically people who don't fall neatly into average male or female sex categories.

So I’ve heard and read. Yet, my view still is that kids who are being encouraged to disregard their anatomy and choose their gender based on their feelings, are being manipulated, pressured, and confused.
