What's For Dinner?

I don't like my curries to be very hot but I do like them to have a bit of a kick

The curry I had today was totally not hot but it was very nice
I sometimes find the "Hot" to be a not hot enough. And have ordered "Indian Hot" at times. If I am going to share any I tone it down a bit.

I oncec made the mistake of ordering a hot curry

I puked it up on the way home

It was so hot my body rejected it
Sorry for laughing. You have to work your way up to heat over time. I would never give someone something hot without ample warning.

I just found out that I have a product that was recalled in Denmark. Buldak is a South Korean company that makes Ramen. They make a spicy ramen that comes in hot, 2xSpicy, and 3xSpicy. When I first had a bowl of the "hot" I had to have a glass of milk afterwards. Now I only need that after eating the 2xSpicy. I have never seen the 3xSpicy in American stores:

And now I am currently staring at package of the above. If I had a black one I would eat it. This one is a little scary.

Eat it.

Ares eats it without flinching.

Son; currently 10.

Hyposensitive autism makes spicy much more tolerable for him... and honestly, preferred. I imagine the stimulation is comforting.
It is not as hot this time as last time. I have seen it vary a bit. Or perhaps it is the way that I make it. This time before I drained the noodles totally I save a half a cup of water and added it back. I think that last time I did it there was almost no broth.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
I love cheapo Ramen noodles, frozen Tombstone pizzas, and Factor meals. Call me a buffoon, I don't care. I love what I love. Oh, and tomato soup from a can. I love that too, and if I feel fancy, I will grab the tomato bisque or the tomato and rice. In the can.

Sometimes the cheapo food is what we remember from growing up when Mom would cook for us. It tastes like love. I will take hours to make a proper Bolognese sauce and my housemates will not be impressed. I make my mother's spaghetti sauce with hamburger, onions and garlic with can of Campbell's Tomato soup, a can of Campbell's Consomme soup, and a can of Hunt's tomato paste and they love it.

I had quail's eggs in red mole sauce, topped with carrot/mulberry relish and served with cornbread.

It was my only meal today, but it was a big one, and delicious.

My son likes those. Their stir fry sauce is also quite good.

A salad made of horsegram, mulberries, and carrots with tamarind dressing. Served with fresh naan. (The dough is rising, and the horsegram is cooking.)
