    Proving my ontological truth.

The PHENOMENON of the light sprectrum exists outside the mind, but the PERCEPTION of a pattern within it is subjective to the abilities of the mind. Many animals with the ability to experience color would not derive the same connections between them, and the meaning behind the change of colors...

Man sentenced to death for sorcery.

As far as I know, Egypt is a republic and allows for freedom of oppinion. But the Quran is not a book of science. So he didn't actually do anything to harm anyone... but he's being punished irregardless? Because a book written a thousand years ago says so? Don't you feel that's a bit absurd?

    God Questions......

My oppinion: Morality is subjective to those beings able to conceive of it. "God" should not be used as a term for a figure which focuses on matters only meaningful to those aforementioned, sentient beings. "God", rather, is an established concept of a certain transcendental truth.

    What are you eating?

I'm eating vegetable-beef soup for lunch.
  5. I Am

    Proving my ontological truth.

To me, the concept of "order" is highly subjective. It's a fact that the human brain is designed to create patterns out of meaningless or otherwise discordant phenomena. (A couple examples being constellations, shapes in clouds, or all types of divination.) While I can agree with you that...

    Proving my ontological truth.

What brings you to the conclusion that life is "non-chaotic", as opposed to "chaotic"? Define this "harmonious nature of existence". If anything the law of entropy would most likely suggest that life is in fact quite "chaotic" in its nature to tend towards disorder.

    Will the pope resign?

I have to agree with Angellous here. I don't think it's likely for the Pope to resign.

Man sentenced to death for sorcery.

Before jumping down my throat you might want to consider that I may be adressing those issues in some fashion. I recently turned 18 and voted for Obama; one of my principal reasons for this was his stance on Gitmo.

Primate of Ireland embroiled in child abuse scandal

I'm not saying they shouldn't be held responsible. I'm merely proposing a way in which these abuses may be lessened.

Man sentenced to death for sorcery.

This isn't about the United States vs. Islam. I'm not anti-Islam or pro-United States. I myself agree with you: I am against Guantanamo ever being opened. The US government has a lot corrupt individuals in it. However, this doesn't exempt the Saudi government from being the same in its own...

Man sentenced to death for sorcery.

So you're comparing a talk show host to a child pornographer? One vocation exploits and abuses individuals, another merely lies to them. Both can be considered wrong in a certain fashion, however no one is being forced to buy into the lies of the psychich program. Children however are forced...

Man sentenced to death for sorcery.

... And they shouldn't. Not all nations are peaceful, or just. Not all belief systems are that way. Although I'm sure there are many Moslems who would diagree with this practice of capital punishment for hosting a "psychich" talk show.

    Does might make right?

Personally I don't feel that somone's mental state is always indicative of their capabilities. Nietzsche was and still is accepted as a genius in the field of philology, and a great writer. As a response to your inquiry, I will explain my reasoning: The Will to Power ("der Wille zur Macht")...

The way that can be spoken of Is not the constant way; The name that can be named Is not the constant name. The nameless was the beginning of heaven and earth; The named was the mother of the myriad creatures. Hence always rid yourself of desires in order to observe its secrets; But always allow...

    Poll For Heterosexuals

Perhaps my metaphor was a bit out of context. If that's the case I apologize.

    Poll For Heterosexuals

Main Entry: 1prose Pronunciation: \ˈprōz\ Function: noun Etymology: Middle English, from Anglo-French, from Latin prosa, from feminine of prorsus, prosus, straightforward, being in prose, contraction of proversus, past participle of provertere to turn forward, from pro- forward +...

    "Wiccan Stabbing"

The media makes money by stretching the truth. This has and will continue to be the cornerstone of their trade. One has to be apathetic towards the views and beliefs of others in order to make a story. They simply don't care. Plus, with such a minority religion as Wicca, they are easily able to...

    Poll For Heterosexuals

That's a quaint bit of prose you have there. Unfortunately I can't say I've ever listened to the song. Maybe I'll check it out some time. Thanks. :D

    Does might make right?

That's funny. While Nietzsche rejected Christianity and the Bible, herein is presented an almost Nietzschean view espoused in the very book which he so heavily criticized. Perhaps God has the Will to Power?
