Muslim Inventions : How they changed the world

Astrolabe - Hipparcus 2nd Century BC Soap - Has evolved throughout time, there is evidence of use of rudimentary soaps used by ancient egyptians, and the word soap itself comes from the Roman Mt. Sapo. Pliny of Rome is credited with adding salt to harden the soap. Earth's circumference - Was...

Does It Strike You As Insane That...

There are laws on the books against all of the things that you mentioned here, what else would you like a politican to do? Also, are you talking local, state, or federal level? Politicians running for federal office shouldn't be concerned with things like crime, drugs, abortian, or gay marriage...

    Who voted for Bush

I voted for Nader in 2000 and felt bad because I could have helped beat G-Dub but instead voted for the candidate I felt TRULEY cares about the people of the United States. I've noticed many people state that they felt Gore and Kerry were not qualified or wouldn't do a good job, and I was...

    Sanity in numbers?

Leaving out anything about religion, I'll agree with you on this point. It is definately the majority who decides what is sane or insane. I've often found myself wondering if things aren't the other way around, if people we label "insane" aren't really the only sane ones and the majority is nuts-o.

    Who voted for Bush

I don't hold to any particular party exclusively. Nothing in this world is black and white, so saying you're only going to vote for one party is like refusing to see any grey. I'd definately consider voting for John McCain if he were to get the Republican nomination, I'd actually like to see a...

Name Some Wars Caused By Religion!

I was just wondering about how you had worded it, you sait the last 10 wars "we" were in.... I'll concede the fact the majority of the wars through out history were not "caused" by war. The principle driving force behind war is the greed of the ruling class (be it for land, resources, power...

Scientific Evidence That Islam is the true religion

How do you know Allah said that....because Muhammed said so? Do you see where I'm going with this. David Koresh (Vernon Wayne Howell) claimed that God spoke to him, claimed to be the messiah in fact. Many religions claim that the heads of their religion is in direct commune with God...
