    New 'on-line museum' challenges evolution

I agree entirely. If we based our current teaching solely on what Darwin said, we wouldn't get very far. No Mendelian genetics, molecular clocks... There isn't really such a thing as 'Darwinian evolution'. Darwin was the guy who got the ball rolling. The subject has progressed enormously over...

    New 'on-line museum' challenges evolution

Exactly. Most of the references used on the site are dated. Your average joe may not look at these and see the flaw in terms of the validity of the information presented. Any views on this, Man of Faith? Do you think the info is reliable?

    New 'on-line museum' challenges evolution

My OP was to highlight another creationist website regurgitating the 'evolution in crisis' line. I was interested in what you, as a creationist, finds appealing about it. Did you find the information factual? Did you find it represented your views? I'm just curious, that's all.

    New 'on-line museum' challenges evolution

Can you be more specific? As a biology teacher, I'm interested in what people like about creationist education sites such as these.

    New 'on-line museum' challenges evolution

Exactly. It's designed for school kids, so in terms of presentation, it's appealing.

    New 'on-line museum' challenges evolution

Have a look at the reference list at the foot of each section. Most of the publications are pretty dated.

    New 'on-line museum' challenges evolution

WAU - Home Another biblically-based effort challenging 'Darwinian evolution' and promoting the 'theory in crisis' lies. This one is aimed at school-level students. Slick presentation, good photographs, easy to navigate. Creationists will love it.

Dr. Dino tells us How the animals traveled from all over the world to the Ark

Agreed. If adults want to believe this stuff with plenty of available evidence saying otherwise, then that's their choice.

Dr. Dino tells us How the animals traveled from all over the world to the Ark

Yeah, they keep me amused too. Only up to a point, though...

    Banned

Speaking of banned posters, what happened to the thread 'I'm Agostic and Don't Believe in Evolution' started earlier today? Was it removed? I had a look at my recent posts and the ones I made on that thread don't show up.

Dr. Dino tells us How the animals traveled from all over the world to the Ark

How did the animals know where to find Noah? The 'explanations' some of these people come up with are just mental. They'll try anything to make it fit the stories.

    God is a person

I hope you are not seriously promoting this idea. If you are, there are many good biology and geology textbooks out there dealing with the causes of disease and natural disasters. Well worth having a look at.

What will you demand in your "Wish" ?

Yeah, I think I'll wish for a couple of those bottles too...

    God is a person

Your reply is a wee bit esoteric. This thread isn’t concerned with perception of reality – it’s about your god being perceived as a real person who is able to have a two-way communication with people. My basic question was how this actually occurs. If I speak to someone, there is an...

    God is a person

Thanks for that description. I don't see, though, how it constitutes communication with a god. As an atheist, I can achieve much the same through meditation. Stilling the mind, calming your thoughts - all can be done whether you are atheist or a theist. Communication with god is just the label...

    God is a person

Totally disagree. Sorry. My conscience is something that I have developed over the course of my life, based on experiences and events and thoughts. There is no evidence whatsoever that it has come from a god, let alone your "God". Neither you nor Man of Faith have answered my question: if you...

    God is a person

This doesn't answer my question, though. I wrote: You mentioned communicating via your soul and 'conscious' - that's what I'm interested in. How do you do it and how is it a verifiable means of communication? What are the processes involved?
