honestly, people are looking over the facts.
Paganism today, does not at all resemble paganism of the past. Paganism of the past involved sacrifice to gods (animal or human depending on the religion), religious orgies (experiencing the divine through sex), drug use (in some cases but not all)...
To be fair, what is called paganism today is in many ways different than paganism in the days our Scriptures were wrtten.
And concerning easter eggs etc, God looks at the Heart. I celebrate easter in a more catholic Christian sense, but i see no wrong in eggs etc, if the heart is focused on...
Hehe, i know you were being a bit toungue in cheek there, but referring to my God as "The Trinity" (even though I am a Trinitarian) seems a bit Cold. He is a person not a concept.
it would be like praying "Oh Omnipotent diety of abraham" :P
Well, frankly in this society, only Christians Jews and Muslims call their god God. Most other faiths with deities use specific names for their deities.
The Use of "God" as a proper noun seems to be unique to the Abrahamic faiths.
I think its just an issue of how people learn to talk.

Maranatha!
Concerning the "status" of those who disbelieve, i will not stand in the place of God and Judge them, but it has been a teachign of the holy Scriptures and the catholic Church for 2000 years.

I would agree with the belief that evil is the corruption of good. As a Christian I would argue that as God is ultimately Good (Whether he Created Good, or if good simply exists and God is Good), that Evil could also be defined as the corruption of the Will of God.
I am an amateur student of comparative religion, but I admit being Ignorant of Bahai. I was under the impression that your faith was more of an Eastern faith than an abrahamic faith.
I take it im wrong? :P
I have heard it said by some that religious Jews do not believe in an Afterlife, and I have heard from some that you do.
I have also heard it said that Some sects believe in reincarnation.
Im simply curious, can someone clear this up for a confused Gentile :P
The way I have always understood it, and forgive me if i am wrong, is that theists simply believe in a god or gods. Deists believe in an impersonal God.
So Both Deists and those who believe in a personal God, are both theists, as opposed to atheism, which does not believe in any God.
To me...
I think he should be fine with an Icon. In the RCC Statues are essentially three dimensional Icons.
I personally am an Anglican, and find beauty in the various Christian Traditions, and i feel we have a lot to learn from each other. Things like this should be encouraged :)
but I agree, you...
I personally believe the book of Revelation to be Highly Symbolic. It is quite possible that John was addressing current issues, perhaps with some prophesy as well.
It is very difficult to understand what these symbols mean because we are so far removed from the time in which they were...
Is Islam generally Iconoclastic, or only more conservative Branches?
Does the Koran forbid the use of Images to aid in (but not recieve) worship?
Just curiousity :)
