People have been skeptical long before there were movies. Movies just became another propaganda vehicle.

It was made as a religious propaganda film just as Mel Gibson's Passion of the Christ was made as a religious propaganda film. It was embraced by some Christians as being an accurate portrayal.

Nonsense. If they had an actor portray Mohammed, the film would have been banned in every Muslim Country. Furthermore, the actor, directors and producers would have been put on fatwas.

List of fatwas - Wikipedia

In 1991, Rushdie's Japanese translator, Hitoshi Igarashi, was stabbed to death in Tokyo, and his Italian translator was beaten and stabbed in Milan. In 1993, Rushdie's Norwegian publisher William Nygaard was shot and severely injured in an attack outside his house in Oslo. Thirty-seven guests died when their hotel in Sivas, Turkey was torched by locals protesting against Aziz Nesin, Rushdie's Turkish translator.

In February 2016, in celebration of the anniversary of the fatwa against Rushdie, Iranian state-run median agencies added $300,000 to the estimated $3.3 Million bounty for the death of Rushdie.

Have you ever tried to sort out the Truth about Muhammad and the Message that was given in the Quran?

Quoting errors that men have made is just that, mans errors. Mans errors are not the Message of Muhammad from Allah given in the Quran, which is Peace, Love and most important, Justice.

Baha'u'llah's words have no value to me or indeed to anyone who is not Bahai.

Claiming that the likes of Zoroaster and Muhammad worshipped the same god is ludicrous; the two are portrayed in such starkly different terms that it is impossible for a discerning person to recognise them as the same being.

You must make your own decisions on this matter. The key here is our heart will find what we look for as our mind is directed by our hearts intent.

Peace be with you always. Regards Tony

The only 100% reliable source I believe comes from God Himself.

But I believe another Messenger was sent by God to clear up these misunderstandings and establish the truth and His Name is Baha’u’llah. His Word comes from God not Himself and He confirms the truth of Muhammad and the wrongs committed against Him in many Writings.

Only the Word that comes from God I believe can be fully accurate and whatever agrees with the Words sent down by God is I believe the truth also.

If anything didn’t fully agree with the Word of God I would be hesitant to pass it into you or anyone as I want to pass on the truth as God sees it not more misinformation.

Also, I am a Baha’i not a Muslim. And Baha’u’llah and after Him His Son passed onto us priceless and fully accurate knowledge about Muhammad that we believe comes from God not people’s opinion.

I appreciate and like your posts #92 #94 #96 #99 # 100.
Kindly give the title of the book ,and its author, which has this correct information, please.

Religions are usually divided into two parts. There are the spiritual virtues such as goodness, love, patience, tolerance and so on and then there are the social laws such as laws for marriage and punishments for murder, theft etc.
The social laws are only meant for that time.
For instance in the desert where there are no jails, police, courts, judges or correction facilities punishments had to be harsh as they also had to address deter offenders without prisons. So the laws in the times of Moses and Muhammad were harsh.

However, as civilisation advance and developed now we are able to rehabilitate prisoners so in this age a new Messenger, Baha’u’llah, has appeared with laws suited to these times.

The problem is in trying to apply ancient laws to a modern age but for thise times they were needed.
"there are the social laws such as laws for marriage and punishments for murder, theft etc.

I understand from Bahai friends here that Aqdas ("al-Kitab al- Aqdas" or “Kitab-i-Aqdas”) consists of the social laws such as laws for marriage and punishments for murder, theft etc.
The social laws are only meant for that time
.

Now after 125 years of Bahaullah the time has changed. Does it make Aqdas ("al-Kitab al- Aqdas" or “Kitab-i-Aqdas”) a redundant writing of Bahaullah?

If you became a Revoltifarian, but then recanted, we have no punishment for you.
But you would be denied the free donuts on Saturday...unless you ask nicely.
I would join the Revoltifarian movement in a heartbeat if they offer free French-styled crepes instead of donuts.

Thank you for your comments.

We Baha’is understand that our laws will be applicable to us for at least a thousand years so another approximate 875 yrs. After that we are told another Manifestation will appear Who’s laws we Baha’is will be expected to follow.

Have Baha’u’llah’s laws become outdated? His laws were created for a world civilisation with a world united functioning as one entity. So the world has still not yet caught up to His laws and teachings such as a universal language, a new world order based upon spiritual values. World citizenship still hasn’t appeared although in some blocks you only need one passport to travel and work in many countries. National agendas still dominate instead of Baha’u’llah’s international outlook although world solidarity is increasing. Universal human rights which is His law have yet to be universally achieved as is also the status of women.

So you see that the world is headed in the direction He set but His laws are well ahead of where we are now so they might not be outdated until well after humanity establishes a world civilisation and we would need laws for interplanetary relations. For now there’s still a long way to go I personally feel before we can say His laws are outdated.

IOW, Only if the whole world lives and loves as one do his teachings have any meaning. IOW, ain't never happened, ain't never gonna happen.

I'll assume you mean Europe. There is a huge difference between "one passport" and people of one nation agreeing with people of another nation, or even people within any given nation agreeing on anything.

So you see that the world is headed in the direction He set

No, I can't see that. If you see that, you'll have to give some better examples than "one passport".

For now there’s still a long way to go I personally feel before we can say His laws are outdated.

I wouldn't use the term "outdated". That implies they once had validity. Since they didn't, I would use the term "nonsensical".

I think it’s an evolutionary process from the tribe to the city state then state then nation and eventually world unification. We are physically united and becoming increasingly interdependent each day. People of every nation want a good quality life so I think war and things like that will fade away gradually simply because it’s too expensive and people want a better life.

You are not a student of human history, are you?

Do you believe that Baha'i will convert millions of Muslims, Hindus, Christians, et al to it's views? If so, please tell the reason for your optimism.

hey Ecco,
I fear that there's another warrior born every second of the day.
I also fear the hate that is amongst us, growing almost daily.
I wish that I could be that optimistic !

Did Bahaullah say this in Kitab-i-Iqan?
If yes, then please quote from Bahaullah, please.

Judaism has similar laws but they just can't carry them out at the moment, and Christians used to execute people for all manner of offenses and many hardline Christians would love to return to those days. I've seen Christian posters on this board say we should stone people to death.

Also, I believe a number of requirements must be met, such as a certain number of witnesses and so on, same with Jewish Law. Basically Islam is a lot like Judaism.

I hope this helps clarify it a bit. Sorry about it being so lengthy.

This is a quote from His Most Holy Book regarding there not being another Messenger from God for at least a thousand years.

Whoso layeth claim to a Revelation direct from God, ere the expiration of a full thousand years, such a man is assuredly a lying impostor. We pray God that He may graciously assist him to retract and repudiate such claim. Should he repent, God will, no doubt, forgive him. If, however, he persisteth in his error, God will, assuredly, send down one who will deal mercilessly with him. Terrible, indeed, is God in punishing! Whosoever interpreteth this verse otherwise than its obvious meaning is deprived of the Spirit of God and of His mercy which encompasseth all created things.”

Excerpt from
The Kitab-i-Aqdas
Bahá'u'lláh

This begins in 1852...

The intimation of His Revelation to Bahá'u'lláh in the Síyáh-Chál of Tihrán, in October 1852, marks the birth of His Prophetic Mission and hence the commencement of the one thousand years or more that must elapse before the appearance of the next Manifestation of God."

(Notes to the Kitáb-i-Aqdas, note 62)

That would be about 834 years from this year.

The provisions of the Most Holy Book are binding for that time.

this "Most Holy Book," whose provisions must remain inviolate for no less than a thousand years, and whose system will embrace the entire planet, may well be regarded as the brightest emanation of the mind of Bahá'u'lláh, as the Mother Book of His Dispensation, and the Charter of His New World Order."

(Shoghi Effendi, God Passes By, p. 214; Also cited in the Kitáb-i-Aqdas, p. 12)

Will one like to first tell us in a straightforward manner?:

Did Bahaullah say that he is a servant of G-d, not a G-d, and there is no other G-d but G-d and denied god-head for him (Bahaullah) in clear and unequivocal manner?
One will please appreciate that it has got a direct bearing on the issue of
"Revelation direct from God".
