I get one every time I visit Florida, about 4 X a year.
All one needs do to get a carry permit is demonstrate one can
safely load the weapon and fire one shot and hit the target at about

This is becoming more important considering the crime wave of thugs and home invasions and domestic Islamic extremism, and here in California and especially in L.A. the coming mega-earthquake that will leave innocents without police protection after the earth moves beneath your feet because the police will be too busy protecting people like Jerry Brown and not the average citizen and it will take the National Guard or the military too long to sweep in to stop the L.A. criminal gangs and looters.

I think this crime wave of thugs &c exists mostly in the popular imagination. Crime has been diminishing here for a couple of decades. The sensationalistic coverage of it, on the other hand has increased.
Islamic extremism, too, is scare mongering. You're more likely to be killed or injured falling in the tub than by a terrorist. Moreover, terrorism is largely a product of US imperial adventurism. It's raison d'etre would dry up overnight if the US stopped mucking about in other people's back yards.

However, in regards specifically to ISIS, there is good news - but keep in mind as ISIS is destroyed beyond the homeland they will double the efforts to blow up Disneyland. So buy more guns now.

We should have had more foresight. We shouldn't have created them in the first place. That said, the best way to dissuade domestic terrorism is to integrate the Muslim population here. Reach out to them, welcome them, give them jobs. Don't make enemies of them and then complain that they're antagonistic.

President-elect Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin have vowed to tackle ISIS together after holding breakthrough talks on the telephone. This is really amazing, Trump isn't even officially President yet but already bringing Peace and Prosperity.

the plant and killed 13 people and wounded many more.
The guy walked within mere feet of me, pointed the gun in my face
and fire twice.
And missed.
Why?

He turned and shot another guy right behind me in the back.

I suffered terrible physical and emotional damage and part of my

IMO, if you favor gun control like I do, then if you really want to tackle guns and restricting who has them, start with government. Those who also favor gun control and think it best to only focus on citizenry, are not the type I align with. All I can say is that if your post are true then you really should have moved. I've been all over the country, traveled to more than a few foreign countries too (many not on any tourist map). And the only time I ever had a gun pointed my way was by an idiot in high school some 26 years ago.

I am a gun owner. But I am not a big fan of letting irrational fears determine policy.
